Seems a little like over kill to me.. Some buddies and I would take trips to Drumheller Ab, to do some mountian biking.. All we used was a fork stick and a small axe.. hold the head down and chop.. you  ask "Why did you go kill snakes like that? " They were for the dinner table. :yumyum: . :yesnod: . Hell at one point the farmer who's land we rode on asked us stop eating the snakes or start eating the mice too, because without the snakes the rodent pop. was getting too big.

There was a local dry batter, that we used on everything, fish, chicken, squirrel, ground chucks, Marmots, shrimp, prawns, snakes.

P.S.  we did not start eating the mice.  The funny thing is that with the high number of mice around, the rattlesnakes on the land around his farm were migating.  That was just fine with us, because we did not have to find a new hunting ground.  When it takes four or five snakes to make one meal, you can clean out an area pretty fast..

burnyota

we run dogs for quail in south texas and rattlers are everywhere...we hate em
