Exactly, take 5 minutes to design something that cost $5 more to manufacture then charge $5,000 to fix.  There hasta be somebody nearby that can pop in and give you some help.  Too bad my deal on 2 84s for $400 fell through or I'd be able to help you get an axle

Ok.  That design sucks.

Here's what I'd do:  Like MrW said, separate the inner joint.  It looks like you might be able to remove the large clamp on the inner CV boot, and pull the axle out of the inner part of the cv joint.  It'll be greasy and messy, but it might come apart.  You'll have to clean out the old grease, and separate the new shaft the same way.  You *should* be able to put some new CV grease in the boot and the inner part of the joint and then stick it back together.  You'll have to put a new clamp on the inner boot, but you should be able to get one from NAPA or the like...

Hope that might work!

OR what I can do is what this guy did and just drop the axle :smack: instead of the A-arm :headscratch: :dunno:

I told you some  :flamer:  was what you needed.  Just put a 84-85 Toyota axle under it and be done.

Well you are in better shape then someone with a Nissan if that helps at all. They have to use a flipped Toy axle cause the shaft is on the driver side.  :smack:

Not to burst your sas bubble but have you researched and listed everything that you will need to do the conversion? It's not just an axle you'll be needing to do this.

All this time I thought you were unbolting the flange bolts and having trouble getting the two flanges to seperate.

:hahaha: :nope: I was tryin to get the whole half shaft out, inner and outer, but to get the inner out I either have to pull the A-arm or pull the diff/whole driver's side of the axle... I said :nonono: and decided to throw it together then SA it... I go pick up the axle this week, and next paycheck (end of the week) I order the SAS kit and maybe hi steer from Marlin :hyper: :woohoo: and my rears will be in by next week :hyper:
