I thought about using the frenched style hangers but I am not sure.  I will probobly just fab up som hangers of my own from the bottom of the frame.

whiteman

Ok so I did not wait for the swap meet to getmy new boggers, instead a I got a hook up on these used 35x14.5-15 boggers for $400.  They have pretty good tread and are already hot knifed :eyebrow:    Better than paying $1000 for a set of new ones that are not even knifed.

whiteman

I think I am going to need some fender triming.....yeh, a lot of it.

I think a rim might help also  :talkingn:  :rofl2: whiteman> :slap: <rockscrambler sorry just funnin ya!

Yes, I have a set of rims, and a friend that would take them to work for me amount them for free but I have just been to lazy.

I dont think the rims that I have are going to have enough backspacing for these wide boggers.

Thats Awsome man I wish I could find a sweet deal like that for tires. So what are you going to get at the Swap meet this weekend just gears?

I got the tires mounted up yesterday, and bolted the on, just some teaser photos.  Remember the frame is still on jack stands because the rear suspension has not been started.  It just looks like it is ready to go

Here are a few shots to give a general Idea of how it turning out.
I will definitaley have to cut out my fenders, but not sure how much, the back of tires under full turn rub on the leaf springs but when I get my "1.50 wheel spacers to match the front axle with tha rear axle, all should be fine.

whiteman

Two more.   I cant wait to go smash on it :rockingout:

That looks freakin good man that looks soo cool, I know what you mean that you cant wait to go smashing on it.  lol.

Here is the crap I got at the swap meet.  5.29's, and master install kits.

whiteman

I also broke the rules of fabrication.....  I bought pre fabbed parts  :headshake:

Oh well, they were cheap and will give me a good starting point.

2.5" Spring hangers for th rear springs.

whiteman

I did not get any work done to show for last night, just rolled the axle under the frame.  I am trying to figure out where I am going to mount hangers, I don't want to mount the axle farther forward then stock.
I was thinking 2-3" back, but I don't want my shackles sticking out like a sore thumb, I imagine they will stick out a little, but as long as I can make a bumper to stick out the same distance as the shackle to sort of blend them in.

I set the bed on it last night, and now with the springs I was able to get a close Idea of where the mounts are going to be.
Thats all that really got done, I am loading up my dirt bike and going riding this weekend so don't expect to see much work until next week.  But then I will be kicking some butt      :flamer:  :flamer:

MiniSimp

Just mount your rear shaft to the axle and transfer case flange, then see what works.

whiteman

Mini, did you use the stock rear drivshaft without modifying it?

MiniSimp

No, but I wish I did.
All I did was shorten the shaft 6".

If I did it again, I would have just moved the axle back 6" instead.

whiteman

I think I am going to mount my rear axle a little farther back, so i will have to lengthen my rear driveline.

RAZOR

Whats going on? :inthedark: no new modifications? :flamer: No new pictures? Whats next? :chew:
