  :hahaha:   :talkingn:    I just have some extra bagage.

Here are some pics I got the motor mounted up and the new center section from Front Range Off Road bolted to the t-case.  I installed the stock X-member to help as a guide in mocking up the new X-member.

:pokinit:!  Feel's like its been forever since I posted my progress.  Well I have got my front spring pack done, now I am going to make my front spring hangers and shackles this weekend.  I am going down Friday to Central 4wheeldrive to pick up my Poly body mounts, and spring/shackle bushings.
I also need to get some more steel to finish my cross member.  I still have not got rear springs, the junkyards around hear are a bunch of ass raping homo's.  The cheapest place I found springs, they wanted $100 for rear F-150s.  Not going to pay that much for them.

I will get some pics up soon!

I have a chance to get some Bronco II rear springs today, I need them for the rear of my truck.  Anybody who has run them or seen them ran have any comments.

whiteman

Here are the front springs.

They consist of:

Main leaf:  Stock 85 rear
2nd  leaf:  Stock 85 rear
3rd   leaf:  Stock 85 rear
4th   leaf:  2nd Stock 86 rear spring- cut down
5th   leaf:  3rd Stock 86 rear spring- cut down

And yes the center pins will get cut down.  Also I have taken the wire wheel to the axle housing, she shall be ready for paint soon.
I ordered my high steer arms today, got the Marlin Billet arms.   :bling:

I have been making the pieces to set up the cross member, I should have some progress and pics up in a day or two.

Sorry guy's I was not able to get pics of my header all cleaned up because I did not have the camera.  ( damn siblings)

I will for sure have some pics up tomorrow around 1pm.  Just my header is all, not like we havent all seen one; it actually came out pretty nice.
I have been slowly progressing on my cross member but not enough to start showing pics.  Maybe this weekend I will have a few cross member related pics

Alright, here is the header, I poofed it with some 2000* clear coat.  It looked alot beter last night in the garage but it was dark.
Now that it is in the light...I dont know, the more I look at it the more I hate it.  Oh well I can always change it later.

Enough with this :pokinit:, I am going to work on my cross memeber, pics in a day or two

It will be this way for at least a week maybe two.  I am trying to clean eveything and repaint whats needed, so it looks good.  I actually am haveing somuch fun working on it I dont want it to get done.  :joke:

Once I get my u-bolt flip kit, and High Steer arms in the mail I will be able to get the front axle mounted.  Those parts are about a week out.
By that time I will have the cross member done and  will be able to start mounting the body.  Then its all down hill from there, that is unless I do a few things diferentley but we shall se.
I have a few things I am pondering in the back of my head but cant seem to make up my mind.

_HOIST_

If you got it out you might as well do it anyways right??? I just did mine and put some hammered texture black paint on it. It looks so clean now I can't wait to go scratch the crap out of it.

Here are some pics for ya.  This computer is a piece of :pokinit:.  I had every thing in detail, size and what it was for, and when I tried to post it said Error, and all my :pokinit: got deleted.

If you want to know somthing just ask I am tired of typing.

This is a mock up just for measuring and contemplating, I  have nothing tacked together.

This is a general Idea of hoe it will be done, but for sure I will cut and round unneeded edges and truss where I feel necessary.

whiteman

I also picked up these 63" chevies today.  Hella clean and have low miles.
I am not going to run them but if any body else wants them PM me, I will sell them.

Well I am in a little better mood right now so I guess i will let you know what all this metal is for.

Top left:  1/2" plate cut and rounded to attach to frame via welding as a platform for crossmember mounts.

Bottom left:  1/2" plate cut 5"Wx6"L 4" of the length will be bolted to platform using 4- 1/2" grade-8 bolts with 1 1/2" of rubber between them, the other 2" of plate will be inserted and welded in the slits cut in the tube.

Center:  1.5" ID x .188 wall DOM tube  this will be used as the "arms" of the crossmember, the one pictured is cut at 11", the driver side (which is not cut yet) will be longer.  Each piece will have the slit cut 2" deep for the welding plate steel into them.

Far Right top/bottom:  These four peices are all cut from 1/2" angle Iron and are cut in 1" strips - two will be used under each platform welded to frame as braces.

Once every thing is cut to exact mesurements and tacked to gether, i will cut uneeded and excess metal off.  Gussets will be ran from the t-case mounting plate (supplyed by Front Range Off Road) down the tube top and bottom to provide extra support, as well as in a few other areas where I see fit.

Hell this thing might turn out so nice, i will have to make a few and sell them :gap:

Any Comments  :dunno:       Tell me what you think :yesnod:

I should have the second tube cut tonight and possibley have parts of it tacked together.  More pics are soon to come.....

I got my Billet High Steer arms today and U-bolt flip kit...This :pokinit: is sick :rockingout:

I ran out of Acetylene for the torch, and my welder got taken away so I cant finish the cross member, or start the spring hanger

Thanks Marlin :turtle:  for the awesome parts these High Steer arms are killer.    I cant wait, my next pay check will buy me the :pokinit: for steering.

That damn cross member is pissing me off. :maddest:   With it all welded together now it is a little crooked. :shake:   The heat from welding it sucked certain edges together and it is a little uneven on the driver side.
It is not enough to cause a problem or to cause it to be unusable, it's just the fact that it's not straight and I know it, and it gets to me.

Theres nothing like being a beginer, I think that i welded more on this cross member than I have in my whole life combined. :smack:

This shits gonna fall apart.

pyrotec220

that is a sweet build. i am gonna be startin mine pretty soon. i am do the same thing u are except on my 83. good luck!

It is not nearly as hard as some would think, for weeks I put off the Idea thinking it was too much and i would never pull it off.  But finally one day I said F--- it, i started tearing :pokinit: appart and hear we are.  I have of course changed my mind back and forth on a few things but initially it is super simple, it just takes time.

Shoot If I had the funds and all the parts in front of me this whole build would be done, but when you are piecing stuff together you never know what you need.  Its all about trial and error, if at first you don't succeed, "cowboy-up, dust yourself off, get back in the saddle and give it one more try" .... a line from Chris Ledoux
