hey crawlerfreaks in :usa:

now i will start to show you oure truck-project wriggly green can :greengrin:  :greengrin:  :greengrin: here in germany
you ask wy this name ??? ??? wait if you see the color of the truck then you now :thumbs:



this are the first pics here when we get the truck and moved in  :beerchug:

it`s a 82`toyota hilux truck without the engine.... ;)

frame cleaning... looks like Womens Part but she was happy and liked it  :thumbs:  :thumbs:  :thumbs:  :sneeze:
after lifting off the cabine,it still looked like a lot of work...

and now the eyecatcher Color for this truck  :yupyup:  :yupyup:

first we look for the  original Kawasaki green but this color was too expensive... and we test the RAL
6018 code and this was perfect :eyebrow:

after painting one off the best parts start... the truck just came with the cabine,frame with springs, axl and old tires .But the rest of the truck was 10-12 BigBoxes
 
it was not oure part to stripp everything out from the truck
so a lot off smal pices around and now always the same question

okay now the hole Projekt is online in germany and i post here the link now

just a suggestion -- dump that L43 tranny!  it's gonna cause problems, especially with the upped power of the 22RE!

if you want to keep your drivetrain the same length, put in an L52 or even better, an L52-HD :love:

no klye is saying the 22re is superior... he is saying you should change the transmission as the one from the 18r cant handle the power of the 22re

but we plan an ARB Locker in rear axel

i stay near Frankfurt, but a this time the truck is near Stuttgart, there we changed the R18 to 22RE.

next week, i get the last parts for the 22Re, and than i hope we start the engine. We change the gearbox. Now i have a 5speed.


So was the 18r standard in those trucks or was it a transplant? Were 18rg's available there too? Also, good choice on the tires, I've had 2 sets and they're very good all around muds. I'm curious if they're cheap over there too? Keep up the build, it looks great :thumbs:

Yes,I think too the tires are very good. I hope we have a good start next year. We want to start Raids in France, Rumanien and in Germany. Fongs are my Co-Driver, and Rolf with Mr.Hyde (the name of his truck) are my Bodyguard,smile

nice and clean..............and a lot of space....the 18R is allready out and the old tranny also :thumbs:



and now come`s Zappels Part.....driving the Fork-truck and bring the engine in the right position :wink2:  :wink2:  :wink2: 
i don`t now witch transmission is now inside.....

but it works very well

straight on Zappel`s head..... but after 1houre hospital and 2days Headaches   now is better and she is okay....

Where i see witch transmission is it now ??
is there a marker on the tranny??

we think is a G52 or G58...... :dunno:  :dunno:
