thanks.

well i just got back from kragen and ordered up my PS pump rebuild kit. it was $22 and should be here thursday. after i get that all rebuilt it will be skid plate time and then im ready to roll for the hammers.

edit: oh ya pat, brad. theres some good news. i think colby has found a 2 car trailer for both of there trucks and were going to get a single for mine and tow all of them lol. he went to chp and was informed on all the laws. there is no weight limit but it cant be over 65 1/2' long and some other laws. pirates forum was weak on the exact rules but im sure callen will chime in on what he was told.

well, im stuck to a 65' limit on overall length.  this totally blows because to correctly do this would take over 70'.  nose to nose my toyota and the 5-0 will fit on a 26' deck.  from the front bumper to the gooseneck hitch on my superduty is 17'.  my car trailer is 20' long give or take a few inches on all that.  that leaves 2' for the gooseneck overhang on the trailer. . . .yeah right, its going to be more like 7'.

i dunno what to do, its totally lame, we should all wheel samis

because that the LAW, and when attempting something as out of the ordinary, albiet legeal, we must be completely legal.  the CHP that i was talking to straight out told me that i will more than likely get pulled over no matter what, but if i cover all my bases it should just be a learning experience for the cop rather than a ticket for me.

from the front bumper to the gooseneck hitch on my superduty is 17'.

wait, what???

edit: ok, i understand now. i thought it was starting from the hitch back....

edit 2: thats floppin' lame. that pisses me off. it should be from the rear bumper back or starting from the gooseneck hitch back. starting from the very front is lame.

its total length of EVERYTHING has to be 65'.  dont get too discouraged, colby and i are working on an idea using a trailer with a 20' deck which will put us at 64.5 feet or so.  well know tomorrow night for sure.

there is a weight limit for one trailer though.  anything over 10,000 pounds you have to have a non commercial class A lisence.  thats is what a chp told me when i towed that gooseneck down to the hammers last year.  also 3 axles on the trailer will put you in that class also.  I "thought" you had to have a class A to tow 2 trailers at once also.  towing that goosenceck witch was about 13,500 pounds loaded with my F250 sucked ass.  it maxed it out pretty much.  the trailer was 6,000 , my truck was about 4,500 , and the sami was about 3,000.  what truck did you guys plan on towing it with?

callen has a class A which is  :afro2: hes got a 4door F350 5spd. i think you need atleast an F350 to tow that with to by law? maybe thats just renting trailers like colby tried to do.

yeah, having the class A is titties when it comes to doing stupid stuff and staying legal.  the GCVW of an F350 (BTW its a 6spd kyle) is 20k with a Class C, but with the Class A i am able to tow up to 80k behind whatever i want as long as i dont overload any individual axle AND am able to stop within the required distance.  ALSO you need at least a Class B to tow over 40' combine length in CA.  this means that as long as i can get under 65.5' i will be able to tow all three rigs legally. and safely.  i would only be around 35k with this load which is plenty safe with both trailers having brakes.  its just too long, totally blows.
