kyle you gunna paint that black strip red or just leave it and show off to the people around town you bobbed your shiz if they are smart enough to figure it out?

Sluice Box Hero

leave the black strip.

BTW, i pulled the escort outside this evening. . . . .but now the trailer is in there. for repairs.

also im picking up an 88 4 runner this weekend for almost free.  im thinking about doing an SAS on it and selling it to someone whos getting into wheeling but doesnt have the skills to SAS something themselves.  should be a good project and i think ill make some $$$ of it in the long run.  also, its pretty clean as far as i remember.

Looks 5x better with it dropped down and bed bobbed!

Hopefully i make it up to highlakes in feb. My d-shaft is getting fixed right now then ditch the rear blocks and get my pinion angle shimmed and i should be vib free and good to make the drive there.

id like it red and clean even though it wont stay that way forever. i dont care what other people think, if you wheel you'd know it was bobbed regardless of color.

i didnt even have a cut off wheel. . . .i used grinding wheels and ground off all the factory wells and smacked the brackets off with a big hammer.

plus i have all the parts to put together a nice D44 sitting around the shop.

heres a picture my own duals in finally and how flat it is. the peice on the left is just part of the torsion bar bracket left on the frame but its basically flat all the way across. i might have to pound out the floor just a bit.

home depot off skyway right?

Sluice Box Hero

yes,  off skyway.

Kyle is at home right now trying to figure out how to build/buy a flatbelly crossmember with a full skid plate, make and install a rear shock hoop and rear shock mounts, have both drivelines retubed. . .again, and have all of this done by the 2nd. . .  . .and for under $200.

anyone have any advice?

i think he should go with the FROR clocked adapter with some *Bling Bling* Ballistic Fab bushings to get rid of the vibes.  worry about a skid after the snow season, have a single rear shaft made, andretube the front both out of .250 wall. . . even if the guy says he cant balance it, im sure he can get it close enough to never notice in kyles truck and use the stock rear crossmember above the axle to mount the shocks to, it works fine on my truck.  never the less that over the $200 mark.

Yota4life

My work sells the fror style crossmembers for cheap. Make the front shaft out of square tube or sch.40 pipe. Do the rear with sch.40 and a dial indicator. The shock mounts are just easy, then go WHEEL!

Ramrod

use the stock crossmember and get your rear shaft done for $100 with heavy wall tubing and a square front or whatever.  go flatbelly and whatnot later
