i worked on the trailer some today by myself (which was fine).  ended up using up all my steel and i need to get some more tomorrow, also ran out of wire so i called it a day a lil earlier that i wanted but whatever.  its going to be nice when im done. . . .going to register this on and all :).  it will be 2 8' sections of wood and one 11' section in the front.  the only issue im may run into is i think im going to need airbags for the superdookey, might have those on there before fordyce, well see though.  going to hit it hard tomorrow and finish everything except the decking.  then i want to get a bunch of people over here with several drills and such and bust out the deck in record time allowing me to take it to les schwab and get tires before friday.

basically heres the deal. everything under the truck is up for grabs in the for sale section. my buddy TJ has a pair just laying around in his backyard that probably wont be used till the year 2029. so it sounds like hes down to loan them to me while i sell off all of my junk and get money for my own set. nothin to special will happen with the tons for awhile. just get some high steer arms and run it with the diffs welded. the goal is to run some 42" iroks on the truck as well. then once winter hits do another overhaul on the truck and get the wheel base in where i want it, bob the bed again (front of it this time) and what not.....

cracked the star which stripped out the shaft and whatnot right there.  also took out the third to make sure everything was fine and found one broken tooth and all the other teeth are cracked as if the pinion slid outward on the gears and kind of pealed the teeth on the ring gear.  looks to me like a bad setupm but either way they are trash.  2 trips on rocks and 3 in the snow.  also both hubs are cracked where the snap ring is on the inside of the hub gear.  kyle pretty much destroyed his truck in about 100yds.

so. . . . . what are you going to do to the truck with the tons?

hi-steer
Tierod
full hydro
1 ton master cylinder
42 iroks
8 lug wheels
drive lines front/rear
welded diffs front/rear
discs on the rear

anything im forgetting?

why outboard? relocate on the axle for better articulation via less effective spring rate.

full hydro, not yet. thats $$$. just rock the hydro assist. and it was 2 trips in the snow. this is still in the planning. TJ sounded pretty ok with it though. i think he thought i wanted to do it right away and he's leaving town for almost a week. i told him no big deal and will discuss it again next week sometime.

ya ive seen that to. the only thing i dont like about the double cab bed is it almost defeats the purpose of having a short bed, kinda. i know bobbing a double cab bed 13" would look like a god damn suit case in the back. it would be ridiculous. basically your stuck back with a "longstyle bed" again. you can still hit it on everything in the back all over again cause its not bobbed. short wheel base but again, departure goes back to the suck. i also like the look of some bed in front of the tire. nUbs truck is really nice though. 3rd gen, taco bed, on 1st gen frame correct?

Idk... im just thowin out ides to help you out...

If i were you id get a new bed, bob the front like 7 inches, bob the back like 8 and still have a pretty decent length bed. Itd bring your wheelbase down to around like 118-119 or whatever which is a good improvement for you.

Yeah im pretty sure its something like that on NUbs truck. I dont remember.

at 118 id be into the cab with a 42. it would be really hard just to get the truck to 120. im shooting for 122. thats 5" brought in which is pretty good. i want to bob the front of bed 4" so that will give a total of 15" out of it total. that way it wont look to chode hopefully. then ill just do big fender hacks like booger.
