47 inch LTB's!

HAHA that will be the day.  47's on a Toyota.  We're just turning all of them into mini monster trucks really.  Remember when 35's were considered big and especially when 37's came out.  Most people though you were crazy for going to a tire that big on most vehicles let alone a toyota.

This guy was running the same trail some of my buddies where running a couple of weeks ago.  Granted it's not on stock Toyota axles but they are 47's!!!

I think 40's are the perfect big tire size for a Toyota.  35's are the norm, 37's are getting to be the norm, and 40's are what people are headed to after 37's.  I'm just going to skip the 35-37" tire size and go straight to 40's from my worn out 33's :)

I just hope I have enough motor to turn them down the road if I need to drive it.  CO has quite a few steep passes and I have a feeling that I'll be rocking 2nd gear, 4K at 30 mph for most of them.

I know what you mean.  Last time I took my toyota there to visit the in laws I had a tough time making it up the hills with only 37's.  Hopefully my Tacoma will do better next time we go out there.  What part of CO do you live again?

btw I've been on that exact trail a few times.  Not with water flowing down it but I've taking nearly every line without problems.

We took a stock Jeep with only a body lift and 31's through the whole trail.  My father in-law did however break out his brand new hard top window but it was still a blast.

The high elevation just sucks the life out of engines, especially when they only make 112hp to start with :)

I'm in Pueblo, 2 hours south of Denver.

hot damn... i wish i could take that jump...but the 3-7's are holding up fine

haha That's a decent jump.. 33's to 40's.

Worn to hell 33's that only measure to 31" tall.  The Iroks sit at a full 39.5".  I'll be gaining 4" under the diffs :)  But it's going to take 4" more to get in the rig also.  My wife isn't going to happy about that.  She'll live though. :)

Yeah, I can see why guys run 40's on trucks with tube beds and not on 4Runners :)

I think my truck's new nickname is going to be "Gutless" :)

I followed this guy's rear fender hack.

It turned out great most people didn't even notice expect for the grinding marks on the outer edge.  8)

This is probably the best pics I have of it. I never finished the passenger side.

Those pics are on 37's. I picked up a set of short 40's a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get them on! But I guess the axles should be under the truck for it to be effective!! :rofl2:

Here is my short 40 next to the rear fender (it was cut open). I plan on stretching my wb some. This is with a frame hieght of 26inches.
`87 runner....it was stock....now sas'd, 37's, duals, geared/ locked, 10in bob, half doors, rock lights. etc., etc.,.........coming soon a 3.4 swap!!!
