Tires are being mounted tomorrow.  Cutoff wheel and welder should get a workout this weekend

You could get the simular apearance if you cut in front of the fender flare up to the top and then mirriored it extending the wheel well back as far as you need.  Then you keep the shape, and it opens things up enough for your tires, and you dont have to bob/stretch anything!

TRUE! it wouldnt have that factory flare.... BUT it would look amazing... or you mean cut a section of the flare and move it.

I only had about 20 minutes to work on it tonight before dinner.  This project is going to be an adventure for sure.

I got more done today!!!  I've got a BIG hole to cover up now 


After cutting out the majority of the wheelwell and inner tub.  I still have some trimming in the rear


Pretty big hole to cover back up 


Side view with truck jacked up and big tire somehwat lined up with current rim.


After triming out the rear portion and rolling the fender lip 90 degrees inword.  The lip rolled nicely and should leave a nice place to spot weld the new wheelwell.

Looks awesome!   Are you going to trim off the front part of the fender like the rear?  Looks like you need it unless you move the rear axle back?

I'm not sure yet.  I might redrill my front spring perches to gain an extra inch of wheelbase (1" further from the firewall).  I'm guessing I'm going to have to tub the firewall back to the body mount.  It's a ton of work but should be worth the extra flex.

I don't want to trim much more in the front part of the fender.  The wheelwell opens up right behind the rear seat and figuring out how to patch that section up looks tough.  Plus, I don't think the tire will rub the front consider how much the rear axle moves towards the back while flexing.  I probably gain 2" of wheelbase when I have a tire stuffed.  I'm guessing the tire is going to move back enough to clear the front part of the fender.  If not, sawzal time

yeah no doubt, definately have to tube for the 40's..... unless you moved your axle 3 inches farther forward!! better approach angle as well.... but then steering and driveline ....... its a never ending modifaction when you have toys!! LOL! know what i mean? the twisted madness will never end!!! they just get even more badass every day!
