This might sound weird or maybe im just lacking in knowledge, but in texas at 4,000 ft. elevation I got 16.1 mpg, I moved back to Oregon at 935 ft. I now get 15.6 mpg. 2007 tundra double cab 5.7 afe intake, spintech muffler everything else stock.

It's not weird at all, you are probably using the California blend of fuel. It really does kill your gas mileage. The last time I drove to MOAB I got horrible mileage going compared to coming back. On the way out I had to fuel 3 times and only stopped twice on the way home. In fact I last fueled in George on the way home driving all the way to Santa Clarita vs. fueling futher inland east of L.A. on the way out.

What about long straight roads in Texas vs. short twisty ones in Oregon?  How often can you use cruise control in texas vs.OR.

Here's mine - '01 1500 'Burb with the Heep on the new trailer. I like how it pulls. I suppose I would be happier with a 2500, but it's what I have and it's paid for.

Recently part ways with the old tow rig. She did everything I asked and then some. Looking for new one. Shouldn't have parted ways but that's how life works some times.

I like the older models.  You could tell the construction was more solid. Even just closing the doors you could feel it .

I had an old '78 Scout Traveller that I could stand on the middle of the hood w/o it deforming.

That's good to hear. I will be in the market for one of those in about 6 months. My sons and I are starting to go out to the desert and ride quads so its probably going to happen. Do you know what length hers is, just curious.

06 gmc sierra 5.3l intake, throttle body spacer, and exhaust. It does good for what it is... I need to regear it cause whatever the stock gears are, it could turn the 33s better IMO.
