Here's mine:

Cigarettes, Starbucks & Mountain Dew for breakfast, Chicken Quesadilla for lunch, Whatever is in the freezer for dinner, sit on couch & watch TV or sit at computer desk.

I've maintained my weight for the last 10 years.

Right on, diet and exercise are for chumps.  I only work out with a Swedish-made vacuum thingy enlarger...its MY bag.................baby!

i havent read all the other replies but i basically watch what i eat and i dont drink soda, lots and lots of water and i run between 2.5 and 3.5 miles 6 days a week. it keeps me in pretty good shape. I am also doing all this to train for motocross racing so its probably a little more than you would want to do. However it works great.

I was going to post a new thread but figured i'd bring this one up from the grave instead. I've been dieting pretty hardcore lately and hitting the gym as much as I possibly can.

Here's a few things that i'm going off of for meals. I'm not big by any means but just looking to gain lean muscle. I've been at the diet for a week and have lost 8 lbs. With my height i'll probably be around 135lbs.

First off, I'm addicted to fast food, meat and potato's like a crackhead w/ crack (seriously)  see my BBQ thread. But it's time for change, i'm challenging myself to stick with this as long as I possibly can. Thus far i've gained SO MUCH energy it's ridiculous! I feel amazing, like an 18 year old again.
Here's a start for those that are trying the same thing, I will try and get some pictures up so people can actually see the transformation.

Training Day Menu

Meal 1: 8 a.m.
8 egg whites
11⁄4 cups oatmeal (dry measure) or 11⁄2 raisin bagels
8 oz. orange juice or 1 cup mixed fruit
Meal Totals: 669 calories, 58 g protein, 93 g carbs, 7 g fat

Meal 2: 11 a.m.
8 oz. chicken breast
1 small to medium potato*
Meal Totals: 409 calories, 56 g protein, 37 g carbs, 3 g fat

Meal 3: 1 p.m.
Whey protein shake (2 scoops)
6-8 rice cakes*
Meal Totals: 450 calories, 48 g protein, 58 g carbs, 2 g fat

Meal 4 (postworkout): 3 p.m.
8 oz. turkey breast
2-3 cups cooked pasta or white rice*
1 whole-grain roll^
Meal Totals: 1,096 calories, 78 g protein, 177 g carbs, 4 g fat

Meal 5: 6 p.m.
8 oz. ground beef (95% lean)
1 slice low-fat cheese
2 slices whole-grain bread
1 piece fruit^
Meal Totals: 593 calories, 59 g protein, 57 g carbs, 13 g fat

Meal 6: 9 p.m.
Whey protein shake (2 scoops)
Meal Totals: 170 calories, 40 g protein, 2 g carbs, 0 g fat
DAILY TOTALS: 3,387 calories, 339 g protein, 424 g carbs, 29 g fat
* If you have a hard time staying lean, eat the smaller portion of carbs at this meal.
^ Optional. If you start the plan and find you’re adding bodyfat, drop this menu item.

Non-Training Day Menu

Meal 1: 8 a.m.
10 egg whites
2 slices whole-grain toast w/ low-sugar jam
Meal Totals: 344 calories, 46 g protein, 35 g carbs, 2 g fat

Meal 2: 11 a.m.
8 oz. chicken breast
1 small to medium potato
Meal Totals: 409 calories, 56 g protein, 37 g carbs, 3 g fat

Meal 3: 1 p.m.
Whey protein shake (2 scoops)
Meal Totals: 170 calories, 40 g protein, 2 g carbs, 0 g fat

Meal 4: 3 p.m.
8 oz. turkey breast
1 cup brown rice
2 cups mixed vegetables
Meal Totals: 734 calories, 75 g protein, 70 g carbs, 4 g fat

Meal 5: 6 p.m.
8 oz. ground beef (95% lean)
1 slice low-fat cheese
2 slices whole-grain bread
Meal Totals: 483 calories, 59 g protein, 27 g carbs, 13 g fat

Meal 6: 9 p.m.
8 oz. chicken breast
Medium green salad w/ fat-free dressing
Meal Totals: 302 calories, 55 g protein, 10 g carbs, 3 g fat

DAILY TOTALS: 2,442 calories, 331 g protein, 181 g carbs, 25 g fat

Some things to remember at the grocery store,

Almonds and other nuts
Beans and legumes
Spinach and other green vegetables

Dairy (fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese)
Instant oatmeal (unsweetened, unflavored)
Eggs
Turkey and other lean meats

Peanut butter
Olive oil
Whole-grain breads and cereals
Extra-protein (whey) powder
Raspberries and other berries

If you plan on eating beef stick with ROUND!  it has far less calories and more protein per oz than any other cut of beef. Try bison, venison, elk as well these are great alternatives to the regular ol' chicken/fish constantly.

Obviously the fresher the better, grass fed beef and as much local produce as you can get your hands on.

I also plan on coming up with some fruit smoothies for breakfast, try and stay away from high sugar fruits like bananas, tangerines, cherrys, grades, pomegranates, mango's and figs.

Lower sugar fruits are things like raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. Melons are also fairly low in sugar.

I'm not too positive but isn't eating after 7-8pm (depending on when you go to bed) not necessarily good for loosing weight? That's what I have been told anyway.

8 pounds in a week is awesome... biggest loser numbers!

I cut out sugar and eat 10-20 carbs a day and I lost 80 pounds in the last year with no exercise. Played tennis a few times this summer :)
Blood pressure is way down, blood tests came back great... and appetite has gone way down. btw - I'm 6'-4 270 now.

lilbuddy that is correct (kinda)  based on a few things.... one being what you eat. If you have a big scoop of ice cream before bed that's definitely not good. By eating 6+ times a day your keeping your metabolism up which is aiding in burning calories. If you eat 2 to 3 times a day and have a snack before bed.... again.. not good!  you will gain weight because when your sleeping your bodies not burning any of the calories you've taken in. Your late meal should always be the smallest in calories. I eat dinner at 6 ish and will have a small low calorie snack around 8 then i'm done...going to bed around 9:30 or 10:00

The biggest meal of the day should be breakfast since you've been sleeping all night your doing just that  "breaking the fast"  which helps kick start your body into work mode.

If you exercise regularly, you will raise your standing metabolism, the same as eating multiple small meals. When exercising, you do burn calories, but you burn far more during a normal day, standing metabolism.

I work out every other day, I do 123 5 count jogging burpees, and 20 sets of 20 pull ups, not chin ups, varying arm spread each set. I have never needed to do anything else. I stay consistent between 150-165 lbs, 165 being during dead winter. Ive been at it since i was 16.

I eat horribly, never breakfast, always at night. Its bad for you yeh, but im stuck in habit.

I remember a couple years back before I started working out, ate like a bird, I weighed about 165 pounds.  Couple years later, and eating throughout the day and working out 6 days a week, at least an hour or so a day.  If I am bored, I'll work out 2 times a day.  I am up to 230 pounds as of now, trying to get to 260.  I got tired of being the little guy.  Being 6 feet tall, I want to reach 260 by the end of 2012, that's my new year's resolution. :usa: :muscles:

as of today i've lost 10 lbs, I got P90X for free from my parents. It was sitting in their closet collecting dust. I did the cardio workout on the first video "bring it"  it was a good start to the morning.

Simmered some chicken breast's last night in chicken stock, onions, garlic until it was fork tender. Topped off with 1oz of goat cheese and "Drews" salsa, 2 tbsp is only 10 calories! along with a 1/4 cup of brown rice.

Got around 60 grams of protein and the chicken was good.

Female prespective im gonna put my :twocents: in!!! Yes eating after 8pm is NOT good!! Your body cant burn the bad fats while ur resting. Eating anything before bedtime is no good for u!! Also, like what most said on here, just watching what u eat and how much u eat works great for diets! Exercise but u dont have to go over board with it! Water water water!!! And counting calories always helps! Natural/organic foods are better but more expensive. Okay im done putting my two cents in!!! Take is as u will from a mom of 3 boys who weights 120lbs!!! LOL

unfortunately this doesn't work for 90% of society.... glad it's so easy for you.

this morning consisted of plain oatmeal (gag) and a fresh smoothie made w/ organic pineapple juice and fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries.  i've got 1/4 cup of roasted soynuts for snack before lunch, they're actually pretty good and good for you... just real dry.. gotta drink water while you eat 'em.

Well yes, you are right about that. But actually I still eat pretty healthy. No fast food, I eat like 4 or 5 times a day. Drink one soda at lunch for work. Drink plenty of water.

Everybody's different so it's more about finding what fits into your life.
For me exercise has to something I want and like to do, my favorite is mountain biking, peddling a bike is not that exiting but peddle it to the top of some fast exiting downhill section of trail then you have a good reason to go to the top of that hill.
Kayaking is also a good one, gives a sense of adventure while getting exercise.
On the food subject all I can do is stay busy, I seems the more I have to do the less I eat.

If you have friends who are into things your into that helps too because then their calling you up and saying stuff like "hey let's go ride this sick trail I just heard about"

dropped 13 lbs as of today, ran a little over 1 1/4 miles today after work and did the UML (upper, middle, lower) on P90X. I'm beat!

Gonna drop muscle milk for Isopure protein once all the muscle milk is gone.

This thread intrigued me to start eating better. Yesterday evening I went and bought a bunch of low/no carb foods and started last night on eating better/less/more(meals that is). My goal is to lose body fat obviously...hopefully i can stay around this weight but less body weight.

Ive got to say though, it fully sucks cutting carbs out of your diet when they are ALWAYS in it. I love pasta and bread and all that but cutting as much of those out of my diet that I had, sucks. Well see how this lasts. So far my plan is a lot of chicken, apples, Odwalla super food (original) and rice. Kinda going with the flow on what ill be eating but definitely no more rockstars (also sucks!) and more meals.

Dude it get's easier with time, seriously.. your body will stop craving those foods less and less. You will thank yourself a million times over w/ all the new found energy.

If your going to eat rice make sure it's brown rice... not white rice.. white rice is pretty bad for you. As far as fruits go, apples and bananas have alot of sugar. Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries and melon's have low sugar.

Also try alot of fish and wild game like elk, bison, venison. These are all low in fat, we have an organic store here called "New Earth" that carries alot of these specialty items.

Also try cutting out alot of egg yolks, just egg whites. A little salt and pepper.. they taste great. Ton's of great info online, there's a web-site called Diabetic Life that has ton's of great low carb meals.

Anyone try the Paleo diet?  basically eating things that are in season, portion size... very few limited foods..

I picked up a book last night @ Barnes and Noble called "Everyday Paleo"  was one of the best sellers, gonna give it a try and see how it goes. I've lost 16 lbs thus far but probably gained a few back because my wife decided to take me to Cheese Cake Factory for dinner last night. NO! I didn't have any Cheesecake.... but that burger sure was gooooooooooood... I felt bad afterwards.. lol

even through the holidays lately along with fast meals so i can get my 4runner done, ive still lost 11lbs in about 3 weeks. Pretty stoked about that.

I know its not necessarily the best way but ive been drinking this protein drink/meal supplement in the mornings and sometimes for lunch. It still has all the amino acids, and everything needed that a regular meal would have, plus a lot of protein, and it actually fills me up too for a few hours. I think its helping out for me. Its pretty pricy but it works well IMO.

If your going to take a protein supplement I would recommend ISOpure. Has alot of GOOD proteins in it, also plan on taking protein prior to a workout or for you... if you plan on doing alot of work on the rig (since this is still burning calories)

I'm down 16 lbs and my weight usually fluxuates about 4 lbs a day up and down.. depending on the time of day.

Still at 230 pounds.  I want to get bigger and an this is difficult.  Tomorrow I am starting a different work out routine that I did to get big in the first place.  It sucks because you are working out so hard, that in this cold 5am weather, you sweat like crazy.  I will reach my 260 pounds this year though. :muscles:
