You got that truck from Jack right? Its always awesome to see the complete build. Too bad you still didnt have the 1st gen though, theyre the best  ;)
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

well I made the mistake of trying to wheel in a grassy field after 9 inches of rain.  I got completey stuck up to my frame and both diffs were not even visible.  It took 3 hours to get out and my truck is completey covered in mud today.  Two other trucks also got stuck trying to pull me out and one was a new f250 diesal and the other was a dodge 2500 diesal and no truck could get them out except jack dads dumptruck with a full load of gravel and 150' of chain.  It was so gay.   I got stuck around two and we didn't get the last dodge out till about 8.  I will try and get pics and a video from my friends phone.  The video is sweet cuase I maxed out a 60" highlift on my front hangar to get the tires like halfway out of the mud and then my friend gave me a tug and I just punch it and flew out of the huge hole and you cannot see the chain or the other car in the video so its sweet

alright where here is what the truck looked like after it sat in the rain all night after getting stuck in the mud that day

Ramrod

right now my block and crank are in the machine shop getting bored out and ground down.  I have my engine rebuild kit sitting in my room, thorley header sitting in room, afm and distributer I got from ebay in my room, wiring harness, sensors, intake, complete head, bigger valves, everything else for my efi swap and completion of my motor build should be here monday.  I will get pics soon and should start putting together the short block next week but will not be able to do the rest for a few more weeks due to lack of money and the fact that I wont to do everything perfect.

Is the whole truck going to be painted camo as the canopy is?

not anytime in the near future.  I just did that cause it covers up the bondo job well and I mostly use it for my duck hunting trips

Ramrod

just got back from the shop.  I made up some brackets and finally got a steering stabilizer on there.  what a difference.  NO MORE DEATH WOBBLE!!!!!!! YEAH pics will come when it is light out and I feel like taking pictures

whiteman

Damn dude!  I am going to use the same spring set up as you.  Seems like it works pretty good for most people, I just hope I get as much flex as you.  I really admire your truck, would you have any suggestions on modifying the springs.

Ramrod

Which springs?  The rear springs where chevy 1 tons but I took 3 of the leaves and the overload out so now they are the same as half ton I think.  The front springs are from top to bottom: stock 83 top leaf, stock 83 2nd leaf down, stock 83 third, 86 leaf cut down about 2" shorter on each side than next leaf up, same, same, bottom leaf from 83 pack which is about 10-12" long and pretty much flat. so seven leaves total.  I would get some pics but my dad took the camera fishing today

Check out the forsale section cause my campershell and a bunch of other crap is up for grabs

Some updates on my motor:
block is assembled with 3 rods and pistons cause I broke a ring on installation and am waiting for another in the mail  :hammerhead:.  I got all of the timing kit setup, oil pump on, timing cover on, harmonic damper and pulley on.  My head is all apart and awaiting more money so I can get some new valve guides and some machine work to get my big valves in.  I got my harness all cleaned up and about ready to install.  The wiring for the 22re swap is really simple actually.  I basically just need a few more random cheap parts and a new clutch and I will be ready to put this motor in in about 3 weeks :crossed:

Ramrod

I have not had much progress lately because of a lack of money but now I have enough to get this motor finished and put in.  My clutch and spark plug wires should be in tomorrow and I am sending off my fuel injectors to be cleaned and taking the head in to be rebuilt some time this week.  Here are some pics of where I am at on the motor, I now have all the other parts for the motor cleaned and painted ready for installation
