yeah i'll be working 40 hours a week and actually I am getting $11 for the first 8 weeks and then $12 so i'm stoked.

yota-tota the main keys to not getting pulled over are 1. keep the shiny paint, ALWAYs have mudflaps on the street,  Keep your taillights working and covered with at least red tape.  One of mine just stopped working and I just got pulled over literally a minute ago for the first time in like 5 months, before I did the things I mentioned it was more like a multiple time per week thing.  by the way are those 4deez?

yota-tota

Ya i gotta get a set of flaps this weekend for rear as i have a dovetailed type flat deck and i'll make sure to keep a rattle can under the seat

those are the 36's......no 4deez till next year :crossed:

went wheeling out in vacaville today and sluiced up the passenger side of my truck and broke in the bed.  Also flopped it for the first time and with the new cage in the bed it didn't even touch that side of the truck.  Still works fine but the passenger side is done for.  thats the new bed on also I put it on yesterday and its ugly as hell and needs paint and taillights.  Maybe i'll get better pics in the sun so you can see it better

and I wasnt the only one to flop, this is rockiller from pirate

Man that looks like fun, I need to finish my truck so I can go wheel again :driving:

I thought that place looked familiar.  I used to work with bob.   good guy, he's got some kick :moon: trails back there!

I'm liking that cage on the new bed pat  looks good, or will after you paint it up

yeah it will look better when I get some paint on it.  it also looks alot different and better when its not on its side i was going to take some pics but my camera is gone somewhere

Ramrod

here is some shots of the new bed all cleaned up, notice the giant dents already.  Yes it was perfectly straight when I bought it saturday afternoon

the truck has some issues and im gonna have to bust my ass to get it ready for fordyce this weekend but I think it is gonna be doable

Ramrod

oh yeah I bought new paint for the whole truck and cage this morning but since its my last day off before I go to work full time I decided to do other things

DTB

i just noticed the bed cage. that's pretty tight how it ties in to the rails along the side. me likey

I has holes cut through the bedsides and the metal just goes to the cage inside and then has plates bolting the whole thing to the floor.  those outer bars save you from alot of damage.  and that door does still open and close fin if you were wondering

RHG

I really like the way the bed cage and...bed sliders :dunno: are tied together. What all do you have to do to get it ready for Fordyce? Ya I was invited up there by bob a couple weeks ago. Maybe in a couple weeks i'll get up there.

Well i'm still borrowing a rear chevy spring from hyena so I need a new one, then today i was driving and got on it and it started cutting out like it was out of gas so I filled up and then it wouldnt turn over enough to start it but my battery has a full charge so I tapped the starter and gave it enough boost to get it going but then the problem was still there and worse then ever so I would never make it up the hill with it running like this it has no power at all.  i'm gonna check the fuel filter first because its kinda acting like it does when its outa gas then after that I dont even know where to start.  also all my guages and signals stopped working saturday night so I think my cluster came unplugged somehow and I have to adjust my valves :drooling:

so much :pokinit:.  I need to start taking care of this thing I guess

Hyena

Sweet pics Pat.  is your body damage worse then mine yet?  that new bed is way sweet.  you got a deal and a half on that.  I don't know if i will be working friday right now.  I worked 13 hours today and i am not suppose to work overtime so i might have to take that day off.  I guess i will spend it tearing apart my rear axle to try and fix that leak.  what time do you get off work?

Ramrod

3:30, RHG is coming up wednesday to do some work on his truck in the P*J customs shop :joke: and if my trucks not working i'm riding back seat with him this weekend.  So either way i'll be there  :beerchug:   :bananabeer: :boozer: :boobs: :smokin: :smokin: :tease:

this weekend and if I dont get a new spring or bring my truck i'll bring your old one anyways

Ramrod

i'm catching up fast but the new bedsides put me back a bit.  If I had the old bed with out the protection I would have majorly passed you up this weekend I was bashing those bars HARD

Not sure if this helps but I had a loose connection on my starter which gave me some of the same symptoms as you describe. Not the power wire, but the smaller one that plugs in the bottom, the signal wire I guess. Anyway, the connection got a bunch of crud in there and was just hanging on by a metaphoric thread. It really confused me because I'd be going down the road and all of a sudden the engine would be jumping, and the guages didn't work, and it would stall. I thought it was the fuel filter but it was okay. And when I'd try and start it, it barely had anything there. Long story short, after I figured out what it was, I clipped the factor connection off and crimped on a new one, no more problems.

We get a load of mud and crud around here, that mixed with bouncing through the trails and snagging on branches, it just got that way after a while. Actually your pics there of your last run reminds me of some trails round here.

So I think it is fixed now.  I put in a new optima battery, new starter, and taped up some cracks in the intake hose.  I think the problem with starting was the crappy kragen battery and the cutting out issue was the cracked hose and the starter was under warranty so I changed it out just because I like shiny things

Hyena

sweet, now you can bash on your truck more this weekend.

Ramrod

nope there will be no contact of metal to rock from my truck this weekend unless it is on winch hill #1

Hyena

I said i wasn't going to go through LS anymore once, that didn't last long.  :)
