thanks for the comments.  its all put back together now and I just took it on a drive around town and am pretty happy.  It still need to get it all dialed in but i'll do that on monday.  One thing about this motor is that it is extremely loud with the exhaust that I have on so I will need to do something about that.  Here are some guages I just bought is this a cool place to put them?  I cant figure out anywhere else to but them

Ramrod

heres my list of things that I HAVE to do in the next month: wait for my EOR cage to come and completely install it, build rear bumper, attach 3/4" d-rings (2 in back, 1 in front), build trail driveline, breakin motor, get more and install rocklights, get and install marlins 4.7:1 t-case gears.  I also would like to build a front bumper and some hoops for the fenders and body behind the cab

MR_DIY

will the gauges fit into a heater duct?   you could pull the vent and then block it (so you don't hurt the gauges)... seems cool to me?
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

Ramrod

my heater is more valueble that a cool place for these guages.  I drive this truck alot and it gets cold coming home from school 10 at night sometimes

I didn't think that 1 less vent would be a biggie.  ok- so why not cut the dash and sink them in?  custom console? get some apillar gauges, overhead console?

sweet sweet.  Glad you got it running.  thanx again for the pulley bolt.  If you are gonna leave your headliner in when you weld in the cage i found an easy way to not burn the liner.  just put wet rags inbetween the liner and the cage.  my liner didn't even get burnt once.  But make sure you cover your seats good.  My brand new seat cover now has welding holes in it  :(

Ramrod

yeah i'm leavin in my headliner i'll have to do the wet rag thing for sure.  i'm gonna get the motor all tuned up today so I can start driving it again.  Yesterday I went to the swap meet and got two doors for some half doors, well actually a straight one to replace the dented one on the drivers side and dented one for a half door on the other side so i'm gonna start building those soon.  I also got a 86 front driveline so that I can make a rear trail driveline that will bolt right in.  and I got a new taillight thanks to hyena.  Hopefully all goes well with this

Ramrod

oh yah im gonna take my seats out when i put in my cage for ease of installation

That will be a lot easier for sure.  I didn't want to take the time.  It is a lot easier to do it on an extra cab because i can move the seats forward or back and tilt them also.

Ramrod

fixed my guage mounting problem

looks way better with the ash tray in, i'm gonna throw a switch or two between the guages

MR_DIY

very nice... waaaay better than the "perched" look.  nice use of the dplate.  might I suggest painting it black or maybe spraying it with bedliner?  just a thought  :dunno:

to have the injectors cleaned?  It was a total of $56 for everything they did and shipping.

Ramrod

oh yah and just to let everyone know If I had a good computer from the start this EFI swap would have been extremely easy, so don't be scared to do it your self or pay me to do it.  I am thinking of doing a rightup on it because the one I used left alot to the imagination or should I say wiring diagrams

Ramrod

Last night I drove the truck to school which is about 25 miles one way of 2 lane highway and ending with some highspeed in town driving and all I can say about this motor is wow.  I used to never be able to get that thing over 65 coming home because of hills and turns and such but last night I did 75-85 the whole way home.  I never even fully got into it yet.  the power from 60-75 is crazy I love it and I still have not even dialed it in yet

Good deal man! I would have you convert my 22R to an RE if I didn't buy a Supra motor.

sweet thanks

I did a similer build, but mine misses when I am crusing anywhere over 2,000 RPM.  It also seems to run way lean!  I used a LC stage II cam instaed of the engine builder cam.

Ramrod

Hey hey none of that in my buildup.  On another not I am building a rear bumper tomorrow and working on my half doors a bit.  So far I cut the outer part off of one door.  My cage is being shipped on monday so it should be here fri-sat.  Thats about it

I tried to take a bunch more pics but the camera ran out of batteries.  I also made a rear bumper and gusseted and welded the crap out of the front spring hanger. Here is one more pic of the half door that I did manage to take

That is some good looking welding going on there! Get some batteries! I want to see this thin when it gets trail-rated!

2005 miller 210 I think.  It is bad ass it was turned about half way up and almost burnt through the 1/4"

Hyena

Hey, that d-ring position looks familiar!  :)

Its looking good.  I am glad they are shipping out the cage for you.
