 Gonzo! I could not have said it better myself! (espcially at the 19.2 kb/s we're getting with this phone!!)

Hyena that was just this Krylon stone texture paint. most of the paint is Krylon, I taped the turtle up and sprayed color by color. I knew all the bodyshop experience would come in handy eventually!

The shell is done in a candy green paint I found in a hobby store, over a bright silver, MrW painted the shell as he has all the candy job experience.

OK now check this out..this was TOO FUNNY!!

After I got off the board earlier I strolled back to the shop to see what was happening, and Dean walks over holding the turtle and says "did you really make this?" I laughed and said "yeah" so I got some good close-up pics outside while he was holding it and we walked inside.

CJ and a couple other of the guys came over asking about the turtle, and said, we were just on the board and saw the pictures and came out here to find out about it! LMAO!!

Marlin had said he was going to show the guys in the morning, but I guess he didn't or at least not everybody knew about...so they saw it here first!! LOL!!

It's a crazy world, gotta love it!!

these pics really do it justice (and btw - aw shucks, it twern't nuthin!)
btw - Marlin said "it's got a tail!" Angelo said :psss: "we'll call it a "tail" for now" he is too funny!

so, anyway, as I was saying on the shoutbox....here I was, just got back from taking the dogs for a walk and was looking out the window when this orange 4-runner tools around the corner. "Hey I know that truck"! It was trackvino.

I grabbed my trusty camera and make tracks for the shop.

since a picture is worth a 1000 words...lets not waste anymore energy typing..

RockcrawlinToy, that is too cool. They don't give you your campsite till you get there, but we can try to ask them to save a space next to us if they can. We'll be at a full 50 amp hookup site though, do you need that much? If nothing else we can all gather at the Battle Cruiser and hang (quietly, of course, don't need to be 86'd from a KOA! LMAO!!)

We won't be hitting the  too heavy tomorrow night, we've still got a long trail ahead of us. Plenty of time to par-tay at the springs!
Hows it look for being there Friday night?

As far as a reservation, you're tent camping? If you're getting to the campground early, probably not. When we're on the road we usually give them a call when we're within an hour or so just to make sure, and that's usually about 5-6pm.

This is going to be so awesome, I love it when a plan comes together!!

Cool, thanks for the info. Yeah, we'll be tent camping. I think we'll be in Sac around 7 or so. I have to pick someone up at the airport on the way in and get our food for the weekend. So  I think we'll be seeing you around 9.

as I figure, MrW is having too much fun playing with Marlin in the shop. Mark still has a couple things to do on the Jeep, and he wants to help finish up any loose ends tomorrow with Marlin as well.
We may not be leaving out of here till about noon and so will be at the campground about 4:00, but we already have reservations so we're good to go.
And thanks, I like the turtle too, I'm really glad Marlin was so pleased with it.

weird scenes inside the goldmine (I know some of them are going "HUH?"):

they are still hard at it...I know Marlin still needs some rear shocks, and he says he has to get the ARB's hooked up but they're too busy for details..

Hyena, it is just a blast watching them all work together.
As we were eating dinner Mike and I were talking about who was going who couldn't go, who was meeting when, using all screen names, of coures and Angelo was like, jokingly "can you please their real names I have no idea who you are talking about"
Of course, we don't know many real names and even if we did it would be like 'Tony Over_Rev', not just Tony. LMAO!
What a blast this is, but I am so danged tired. I'm going to have to kick back

Well Im Back on track after a slight delay.....I put in 4low and reversed to load up on trailer, and I could hear this grinding noise and when id push in the clutch itd stop quick(front binded)noise was coming from front passenger. So I jack it up Pull hub hoping it was that  Well turned to find out I broke the CTM   then snaped off ear on inner shaft.I got it all back on the trailer, but I had to use my spare inner, saved the outer. So the Box is off the plans :shudder: So I guess I broke it on Fordyce last trip out :headscratch:
