Starting my sas
« on: Jul 10, 2007, 07:53:34 PM »
alright, i have an 1987 x-tra cab 22re with a 5spd swapped in from and 87 22r truck. the ifs setup is really sort of lame and i am going to order up my SAS kit withing the next week or 2. My question for you guys is: what size lift should i go with? i plan to do the 63" chevies in the rear without any blocks and i want the truck to sit at least slightly level. I also want it to clear 35-37" tires but still sit sort of low and be able to flex. i was going to put the rears up front and buy all of the SAS pieces separately but i found it was more cost effective to simply buy a kit. So what do you guys think 3, 4, or 5 inch to match the height of the chevies?

i also have the option of using the new springs and the rears to make my own packs, and i don't mind cutting and trimming to clear the tires.

Are you doing a single shackle in the rear or a double?

i'm not sure, i know the double is good for looking like you can flex on the ramp and all, but how is it for real world applications?
