Need Help! Tricks for Clutch Housing Bolts??
« on: Jun 18, 2006, 02:01:49 PM »
I have spent too many hours on these two friggin bolts.  Does anybody have any tricks for the top two transmission to engine block bolts before I  break out the saws and start cutting?  I have tried patience and snaking many conglomerations of extensions and joints up there.  I just can't get anything on it and I am running out of patience.   :snare:

Yep, i had to use 3 - 6 inch extensions and a flex joint to get to mine.  still had barely enough room.  could only get about a quarter turn each time.  patience helps.

with the bodylift i have i can jsut get my hand in there with a wrench..... before the bodylift i used about 2-3 feet of extensions with a wobbly socket and had the ratchet around the tranny crossmember area.....

i snake my arm down from the top and bust them out with a 17mm stubby wrench.  but then again, i can get my arms into a lot of places they shouldn't go.
