Need pic of clutch slave set-up on bell housing
« on: Aug 08, 2006, 07:49:07 PM »
I'm getting rid of my auto and swapping in a 5spd (w56).  I need a detail pic of the slave cylinder on the bellhousing showing how the various hard lines and flex lines all come together.  The FSM only shows a short section of hard line coming out of the slave to a braket.  It is unclear at that point if a flexible line continues on to eventually connect to the hard line that runs to the master cylinder.

Can someone please post a pic or email it to me at ranski01@yahoo.com

simple, hard line from slave to bracket on lower starter bolt, flex line from there to hard line mount on fire wall, hard line to master cylinder.

Thanks Rabidyota.  I just checked the firewall and the starter and it looks like I will need to track down both of those brackets.

Is the bracket on the starter attached to the upper or lower bolt?

I shall go out right now and check for ya.

I have the bracket thats on the firewall but it's welded on. I can probly get it off easily. I have the hard line from the master cylinder to the rubber hose that connects to the slave cylinder( no rubber hose though), as well as the master cylinder. I think it leaks though. I have a pedal assembly too, brake and clutch. Let me know if you are interested in any of it.

I have a new slave and master as well as the rubber hose.  I pulled a clutch pedal off an old mini just last week.

I'm thinking the hard-line will be a pain to ship and I can make one easy enough.  I'll just take the brackets and a shift fork if you got one.

I'll PM you my address.  Thanks for the help!
