6 Years later The only thing still toyota on my truck is the body, frame, front spring pack, wiring and currently the engine, bell housing, transmission oil pan/dipstick.  The 22re is getting replaced with a 4.3 very soon and the trans is an aw4/a340 hybrid hooked to a 231/300 doubler and the axles are 1 ton GM.

The best rig for your application will NOT be one brand through and through it will be a mixture of everyone elses parts to make it right.  Staunch brand loyalty is retarded. :gap:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

My jeep was recalled, I got a free cat out of it =]
Right after I hit the old one on a rock out in calico area and it started to rattle :smack:

Also after I ran over a Toyota and Mercedes totaling then, ford recalled the f350 and fix the anti-lock break system on it.

I went to hollister hills and my buddy brought his jeep on a trailer.  He hit the breaks on the way their and the the jeeps suspension wasnt tied down.  Im not really sure how to explain this but the splines slipped out and then when the tried to slip back in they werent lined up so the driveline got kinked in their.  It didnt fall all the way out and it was stuck so that it couldnt go back in.  Also cause the driveline has a lip on it where it attaches to the axel we werent able to just unbolt it and slip it back in.  Had to unbolt the whole axel and pull it back.  Such a gay fix.

Jeeps SUCK!  Yes I have one.  Just empty every pocket = Jeep and YES it truly means that.

I also have 2 toyota's

and a GMC

Toyota's all the way!  ok  well up until 2004.  after that they are just like Jeeps and fall apart or have one recall after another

i like my jeep =], have less than $3k in it total w/price i payed for it and build w/6.5in lift and 35's so far.
i the toyotas i have to build for $1,400 into them

It may have cost more in the build but I bet you've built the Toyota more than the Jeep. I think if you compare parts price and parts actually needed the Toyota will beat the Jeep, I bet the Toyota even beats a Samurai in total costs. I've built all three and other vehicles too and in the bang for buck the Toyota wins.

The nice thing about a toyota is you don't have to spend hours trying to  :flamer: patch together a unibody heading up cadillac hill after the roundup because your steering box tore away from the sheet metal.   :gap:  i do have to say though, besides the unibody tearing away, you did really good.
