36" tire (preferrably close) Arkansas for 15 inch rim
« on: May 28, 2006, 08:18:41 PM »
I'm looking for a 36" tire for a spare, doesn't have to be any thing special, just something that holds air, for if I have a flat, and for looks in the back of my truck.  Preferrably cheap and close to home, Let me know whatcha got, thanks

Where in Arkansas? There is a used tire shop close to where  work that has one 36" Swamper (TSL I think) it has about 25% tread left. He has had it for a while now. What are you looking to pay?

Ok he still has it and it has about 1/4"-3/8" tread in the center and about 1/2" on the sides. It is a 36x12.5 TSL Radial. He wants $90 for it. I think that is a little high but what do I know. Here is a couple of crappy camera phone pics.

He also had these 34/12.5 Truxs MT's. He only had two. he wanted $160 for the pair

Yeah, that seems a little high for it if you ask me.  I would pay that much if it was in excellent shape, but considering that it is that wore for that kind of money, I think that I'll let him keep it.  I really appreciate all of your time that you put into helping me out, that don't happen that much anymore.  for a tire with that much wear on it i would spend like $35-40 bucks.  I really don't need it but would love to have one for a spare just in case I got into a bind.  Is there anything that you are looking for that I can help you with??? Let me know

No problem man. I would give him no more than $50 for it I would probably go $60 if he mounted and balanced it for me. If he could balance it. We can always let him sit on it for another 3 months and offer him $50 for it. He has had it for atleast a year. There is no demand for big tires on that side of town. It is more of a 205.75.r14 on a 14x10 true spoke wheel side of town if you know what  I mean. :lipsrsealed:

yep, it looked old and so did the other two.  They looked better, but looked like they've been around, holding water and stuff.  Hey but I do greatly appreciate it.  I'll let him keep it for awhile, I'd pay more for it too if it was mounted and balanced.
