its not about what is better jeeps or toyotas its about how much, or little, the driver knows about there rig. if some idiot breaks something on their jeeps and doesnt know how to fix it then all jeepers get a bad wrap but same goes for toyotas but i think that its more common with jeeps because there are more jeeps and even more idiots that drive them. and no im not one of them

I did mcr8 in an almost stock 96 XJ only thru mod 6.5 lift w/33in tires - I in it to enjoy the drive, and area. Not into beating a vehicle to death.
also doing mcr9 =], with my friends that just happen to drive Toyotas =]
p.s. with what I paid and parts, I only have around $ 3k total in my jeep, plan on driving it the next 20 years. I am owner #2 it just turned 70,200 original miles today; also have log book on it from Sierra Community Collage the original owner. =P
