a well designed crossmember that does not allow drivetrain components to twist or flex independently will prevent things like that. i don't remember what vinos x member looked like but id be willing to bet that there is the ability to flex where there shouldn't be
x2. some of the pics in the threat arenīt visible so I didn't see clearly his crossmember. But from the looks of it he has only a plate under the duals, I where planing to make something similar but make it bolt under the auto also. I guess what I am wanting to know if this is a addapter from north west. and if his 700r4 had any support other than the adapter and the engine.
4runner body on a hilux frame = Hi-Runner.
 2,4 dti duals 2,28 x 2,28 to 8" 5.71 with arbīs  and 39,5" trxus
gathering parts for my goal which is
350 Chevy 700r4 auto to 2.28 x 4.70  and 4.88 9,5" cruisers diffs,diamondaxles and cable lockers, 44" richard cepecs
