88runner, thanks, I just updated it. Let me know if it's working.
Also, you were telling me about a Javascript-based Chatroom that would work with SMF (not IRC). I would like to do that before next month. I know I have missed the last two chatting sessions with Marlin, but at least I should redo the Chat room so that the next time everyone will be able to log in without needing new versions of Java or access to IRC servers..
About the log in, I have not heard about any trouble with it. I know that the Password coding was updated and there are more feature for password maintenance, and one of the new features is to change the level of strength for passwords.
For instance, I can place restrictions on the required lengths of all passwords. I can also place restrictions for what words you can or cannot use within your passwords.
But I just decided to leave the strength at the default setting, which requires passwords to be at least 4 characters long. I suppose if your password was set to god123 or rainbow or something ridiculous like that and someone hacked into your account, then shame on you for not using a more unique or cleaver password.
I dont want to have to require everyone to change their password, especially since we have people on here who use the "Stay logged in" feature who may have forgotten their passwords even (yes their are ways or retrieving it). Some people only come here like once or twice a year and I dont want them to have to change their password just for that
But if I am way off or this is crazy talk, then I can set restrictions on passwords. I know it would make everyone's account more secure, but I've only heard of two members having someone get into their account and put up erroneous posts
