Take 12 volts (from batery and plug it in on the ignition side to get 12 volts through ( kind of what got you in trouble in the first place)
gonna need an ohm meter or 12 volts to trouble shoot your problem. Do you have a good ground all around on truck to battery?
(if you use an ohm meter got to unplag battery or you will fry meter)
