Why not run a different case if that adapter is 15 bones. Couldn't you just use a gm case?
I would not be able to run the Stock 241 as its a (LH) Drop. The 4l60e never had a (RH) Drop T-case behind it.
I might be able to find a 205 or something. I would have to adapt to that 4-600 bucks but that's 2-1 and the gear kit is 1600 buck for 3-1
If i adapt my my H2fa case i can The Marlin Crawler Land cruiser 3-1 gear kit in it for much cheaper.
Bang a 1hdt in it.... 
Id love a diesel swap
but the cost on that imported to is around 5-6k
