Project Family Runner
« on: Feb 28, 2013, 11:39:59 AM »
Ok.........decided to get myself a 4runner to carry the fam sense the 82 pickup wasnt going to cut it. Still love my truck though. So I picked up this......

93 Runner 4cly an fairly clean!!!

Plan is taking everthing out of my orange 82 to get this one going an then doing more of a truggy build to the 82 down the road.
What im taking from my 82
* MC leafs front an rear.
*front and rear axles with detriots and 4:88s( wish they were 5.29s) later date
*Shocks
*On Board air
*Daul cases with 4.7 in rear. getting new C.M cause I have the Tail gear member (no good)

What I still need.....
bumpers
cross member
two new tires
drive lines
some SAS stuff

Pics of my 82

This is what ive done so far....

Nice build. I had the same issue. Now I have a 90 sec gen 4cyl. Wife and kids love it! Daughter is happy because she gets to go a lot more then she did in the past.
You might want to consider transmissions too. Mine has a G52 or 58 (don't remember at the moment) in it.
