Back in 83 that was the bees knees lol

Headed to mom's to pick up an old set of rears i pcked for my rig a long time ago. Gonna swap them in here.

The tie rod has been making contact with the oil pan since I built it. Hoping it would self clear didn't happen and ddnt want a hole to rub into the pan. I decided to change something...
I swapped rears into the front I built about 5 years ago. That rose the front 2.25" from where it was on stock 4runner rears. Then swapped those 4runner rears into the back of the truck added 1 random leaf and 1 from the stock 2wd springs that were in the rear. According to a tape measure the truck is dead level. It used to float like a 1974 Cadillac. It now rides like a toyota, more stiff than I was used to but still rides very well compared to my 06 tacoma.

You need the oil pan out of a t100.

Did the egr delete with some plates I made, swapped to t100 pan and pickup tube
Cleaned I up with some stuff we got to try at work. It's like clr but made by another company. Sucks on grease, but cleans the hell out of aluminum without giving it that dark look that alumibrite does to cast parts.

Does a great job on small surface rust as well

Mounts swapped, oil pan, dipstick, and pickup tube

Had to leave the original in there until a freeze plug is gotten to replace it

With 33s on it this sat as low as a stock solid axle truck on 31s. I loved it being low but the contact there wasn't cutting it.

Just hit the ebay and it got me for $180.83. Both front fenders brand new. Thought it was a good deal so I jumped on it.

Fenders and tailgate are just hanging out waiting on someone to do paint and junk. Been a little pre occupied with the matching turd boat. She aint a turd no more. Sea star sport hydraulic steering with tilt helm will be here monday.

Stripped the windshield and rails off, my cousin and I had a week of evenings buffing our old barges.

A well polished turd.

Awesome build. Interesting how you turned a 2wd into a 4wd, seems like a lot of work but it is interesting seeing a 4wd with 2wd guards! It looked cool as a 2wd but still looks good now. Love the longbed as well :)

Actually doing a sas on a 2wd is a ton easier than doing it to an ifs 4wd truck. Originally this truck was purchased to be a parts truck. Once it got home I quickly realized it wasnt rough enough to tear apart. Once you find me some of those awesome hilux 4wd badges it will be a head scratcher.

Interesting, it is good to learn these things. I'll bear that in mind for future builds ;)
And I will start looking harder for some badges for you

The big johnson should be in the front...

Someone fix this to embed it in the post please. I tried what andrew told bestgen to do but I can't make her work.

I love the factory paint job on your rig. So jealous that second gens didn't come with anything cool....

I'd gladly trade brown paint with stripes for the option of a dual cab in the 1st gen flavor. Thank you for the compliment. I am very partial to brown. Not sure why.

The 2 8's were doing a decent job but more is always better right?
This morning i picked up a set of m2652 6.5s to put up front. Spent a little bit installing them this evening when I got off.

Have to represent the local stereo shop, the girl gave me a killer deal on the 6.5s. Got them for way less than online and 2 year warranty.

After a little 125 mile ride, 30 mins to pull it, and $100 we have an e locker for it. Just ordered a set of 4.88 and solid pinion spacer.
