Build rear dshaft and have ballanced.
Install 3/4 ton chevy master cylinder
Install proportioning valve, and lots of misc stuff.

Thanks, as far as the bed the only thing i'm going to do now is just build the soft top to cover it. I might bob it later if I have trouble hanging it on stuff. I can't go much due to the F150 springs. The rear hangers are going to be almost to the end of the frame.

Quick question, how much you think your gonna have wrapped up in the axles, tires and wheels when your done.  I am talking about the COMPLETE axles and anything related to the swap.

Thanks

I don't have a whole lot in them, could be alot more. I still need to machine the hubs and build my high steer arms. Here's a list
  Wheels and tires  $1200
  Front axle  $800
  Gears and installs $580
  Rear axle  FREE
  rear disk brake parts $150
Lots of other misc stuff that I havn't gotten yet but that's the majority of it

In that pic the axle is just sitting under it but I am making a pack with a mix of 3'' Downey fronts and 3'' Downey rears. I built them today so I should have them under it tomarrow.

I've finally got the front sitting on its own weight again. I guess I need to put a 2'' body lift under it to help clear the tires a little better. The spring pack I built didn't quite give me enough lift.

I had thought about that when I first started cutting but it seemed like it would be more work than what it was worth.

Hell yea, this thing should flex like crazy  I still need to machine the hubs to narrow it up some, just a little to wide.

I didnt know a Dana 60 is that wide! Do they come in different widths or is that the only width available.
Looking for 35s in SLO later summer time, like august.  Swapping Tires??

whiteman

Dana 60's are full size axles, unless there is some trick ass rig on the market I dont know about they are all in close proximity from each leading manufacturer of trucks.

The 60 I have under there is a dually axle which is wider than a single rear wheel axle. I am going to machine the hubs down so that it will be the same width as a SRW front. It's just way to wide as it is now.

I'm picking it up tomarrow to tear down and regear  . It's under a 3/4 ton Dodge at my uncles house and he's been gone so I haven't been able to get it.

Nothing much new. I started a new welding job and have been working long hours so I haven't been able to work on the pile. I did get my rear 60 home so I should be able to do a little on it in the evenings. I'll have pics of it up tomarrow.

BoMXtreme

Do any companies sell adaptors so for instance a Dana 60 axle and its driveline can be mounted to a Toy box?  Or do you just go ahead and weld the flanges together?
Looking for 35s in SLO later summer time, like august.  Swapping Tires??

Ramrod

someone makes a new pinion flange so you can use a toy driveshaft on a 60

KWP

High angle driveline makes the pinion yoke for the 60 to toy but I am building my own driveshafts :gap:
