greaseing the knuckle ball

i was wondering when you take the plug out the top  do you fill it all the way up with grease. i took the plug out and put a screw driver in it and it had grease in it no oil that i found so i put about 10 pumps in each one

The Factory service manual says to fill it 3/4 of the way full with grease. If you had no grease at all in it you may way to strip it down completely and repack all your bearings along with your birfields.

it had grease in it. but it didnt have 3\4 in it.about 10 pumps with grease gun almost filled it full

ive always filled it halfway. but i dont think its rocket science, main thing is to pack your bearings and have qquite alot of extra grease in there.
