Good to hear you got that 84 goin again, you should RZ swap it!
What do you plan on selling the 35 mtrs for? Got a buyer yet?
Fixed!
On that little pain in the ass hose, I also had that issue once when we were wheeling, couldn't find that junk anywhere just had to rob on from a parts motor. Dry rotted and looking like it was about to blow I swapped it on anyhow. I'd like to see what you did if you could get a picture of it.

if i came across all the parts for a steal i'd think about it, id rather do 3rz or 3.4 swap, but thats sooo far down the road haha. I dont have a buyer yet, my friend eric said he would buy them but that was a few months back so idk now. i wad gonna start at $500 obo. 4 35" wrangler mtr's with pro comp steelies, all tires with 50% or better tread, one tire has a plug on the inside sidewall but its been holing air while on my truck. Found a steal on some 39.5 iroks last night but home boy won't text me back haha.

Yeah this hose must have been from 1984 cause is was rotted soo bad every time you touched it, another piece would break off lol. i will try to snap a pic later of it, i found another hose last night that has a pin hole leak in it  :ha_ha: now i'm paranoid and i am replacing both the radiator hoses while all the coolant is drained lol. Don't want this to happen while i'm cruising around in the woods by myself or something lol.

Sunday we went and drove the first gen around, hes gotta get used to winding those gears out or else hes gonna be driving slowwww haha. other than that the thing smashes at 70 no problem, no gnarly vibrations  or death wobble or anything like that.

the smaller hose has the pin hole leak in it, the bigger hose is the upper radiator hose off the 22r and it seems to be getting old and nasty so its getting replaced toooo

Got all the iroks de beaded tonight. I have class tomorrow night so I probably won't get anything done tomorrow. Gonna mount them at some point this weekend. It's looking like I'm gonna have to trim my rear bumper a bit, we'll see once I'm fully tucked lol. Can't wait to see what they look like  :yesnod:

Nice! I've ran both iroks and mtrs. I hate irok in the dirt and mid we have here, but I got them in rocks a few times and alot of sand. They kick butt! I think you'll Iike em

I loved my mtrs on the rocks and even wet they do fine, they just suck in the snow. Unless you air down to like 5 or 6 psi. I've only heard one bad review on iroks but what the kid said on why he didn't like them, didn't really make sense and went against the thousands of good things I've heard of. I've even heard bald iroks kick ass in the snow lol. I might look into grooving them at some point, who knows lol.

My experience is with mud rocks and sand. Kicks ass in sand, creek crossings, and even wet rocks. Mud they just plain suck.

Got the tires mounted up, they look badasss i think. every time i go out wheeling the springs have been dropping lower each time, plus the rear tends to sag out when i have a full load. i also need to get arp knuckle studs pretty quick. i already have the hub ones. im not too worried about the knuckle studs, the hi steer arms and lower caps are what i tend to check the most, and ive never found them loose on my truck lol always torqued. and i have two spare knuckles i carry with me when i go on trips. i want to get my detroit installed before i do anything else, just need to take it to my friend to have him set it up.

digging the iroks. if i didn't drive my rig down the road all the time i would invest in either those, the SX's, or boggers. just one of the many downfalls to DDing your wheeler.

Tow pigs are nice! My parents bought a tow pig for their camper. The deal was made that I could use it as long as I keep all the maintenance up..  Dad likes it cause he don't have to touch it and I like it cause I get to use it! lol

J_Cole92

Yes they are awesome. My dad has a 2004 Cummins 4 door. Nothing like cruising in comfort to the trail, wheel the piss out of your truck, then load her back on the trailer and cruise on home with the a/c on  :smokin: I've used it to tow a couple times and it's soo nice. Too bad he needs his truck most of the time there for I need my own lol

I definitely need my own too. Its just not in the budget for the next few years lol...

Those 39.5" look awesome on your rig! Makes me want some 4ds! I think 38x12.5 TSLs or TSL SX with a little hot knife action are gonna be the best bet for where I wheel.. Already started saving for a set.

J_Cole92

These might get  grooved with a hot knife eventually lol. I've always liked the SX's but they are like the mtr, they are stiff and takes a heavy rig to make them squat. Other than that ive heard goo thing about them.

That's the main reason I want the TSL over the SX.

I've heard good things about the Iroks, especially aired way down on a lightweight rig like a Toyota or Sammy, but a lot of guys I wheel with say that as soon as you throw a little water on something and the mud starts to stir up that you can forget going anywhere.  Our rocks are covered with dirt and our trails are loose dirt that gets really clumpy when wet.

J_Cole92

I can't wait to see how my iroks do. I never really go mudding or anything like that lol. When we were running the con memorial day weekend, it was raining the whole weekend and dan's iroks were hooking up like crazy. Walked right up soup bowl in the hail over and over again. He was just doing laps up and down soup bowl haha. And in the snow he had them aired to like 3 or 4 psi with his beadlocks and never got stuck, and was going through deeper snow than any of us. Up to his hood i think lol. I want to get some weld on beadlocks sooo bad now. Probably will order some by the new year. I think im going to TIG the beadlocks on instead of MIG but well see how long one takes  :ha_ha:

We don't mud either, but its impossible to avoid the slicky muddy hills around here.. Sometimes you gotta hit em to get over to the good stuff.

I've heard they hook up on the rocks great. Hopefully you'll have good luck with them.

I wanna do the DIY beadlocks too. I honestly hope I can find a set of used aluminum beadlocks. I'd really like to have the weight savings. I don't wanna get my rig too heavy and every little bit helps.

I TIG'd for a while before I finally bought a MIG. I doubt I'll ever touch out TIG again unless its on aluminum. Lol I could MIG all the beadlocks on by the time you got them prepped to TIG..

J_Cole92

Yeah I want some bad haha. I have a mig and a tig/stick. I think tig is reallyyyy fun and I'm getting better at it. It wouldn't take that long to tig all 4 wheels. I could probably do 1 a night. I know I could do all 4 in one night with a mig lol I just like  tig wayyyy better than mig lol
