Im pretty sad about not going to fordyce but we got some other stuff done today. my buddy travis fell asleep and rolled his truck on 50 a few days after christmas, both him and our buddy austin were all good it was just my truck and his i got it pulled halfway back over before chp showed up then i had to stop lol it was a long night but today we started the cab swap finally. got a decent amount go process done and gonna do more tomorrow. his truck was sick and I'm trying to get him to put his build up haha it was a 2wd long bed 4wd conversion 5.29s lock rights, 4.7 single case and getting more built as time went on, he did the swap a junior in high school so he's had it a while. if anyone knows of an extra cab for sale let me know were looking and theres only one on craigslist he might go look this week. heres some pics

He fell asleep and hit the bank on the side of the hill and it dumped him on his lid then he slid for a second then stopped

thats crazy, thats cool that no one got seriously hurt. glad hes gonna do a body swap rather then just selling it.

ive dozed off a couple times but always just rolled down the windows or blasted the tunes to keep me awake. my first rubicon trip i was so tired on the drive back i had to stop off 50 and take a safety nap.

Ya he has so much time into that truck i don't think hell ever get rid of it haha and ya they both fell asleep
so they both said all they remember was waking up sliding on the roof, lame way to go out but it will be back on the trail this summer hopefully

I did the same pretty much in a 91 4Runner. fell asleep and woke up in time to hook it left sharp, slid sideways out of control, rear end hit road cut and flipped me over. I ran down the road to my buddies place pretty freaked out, got an ambulance ride to the er where they told me I had a fractured vertebrae. I have a titanium plate in my neck fusing c5 and c6 vertebrae. i got DAMN lucky!!!

geeez you did get lucky. the fire department showed up but both of them were okay thankfully it was pretty crazy

Still looking for a clean cab and we can pick it up whenever let me know if anyone knows of any extra cabs parting out or cabs for sale. The old cab is getting close to coming off so its time for the new one haha

Perfect timing this all was ,got a trailer saturday and got to use it already lol found  cab and got it yesterday morning, tried to get it monday night but the guy didn't have time. He was a cool dude didn't catch his name but he was a pirate of the rubicon and we talked to him for a sec funny dude. cab was still on the frame so we had the pull the 6 cab bolts then he lifted it with his tow truck. my buddy travis is happy got is for $350 with the dash and harness still inside it cleaned up pretty good toooo, pics











travis got the harness all out of the old cab and the steering column so now its down to some ac/heater lines and the gas lines underneath then its pretty much ready to come off, its gonna bne a fun one lifting the cabs haha heres some pics of the old cab

Ya were just kinda rollin with it haha there's not really a deadline since they took his license lol but it will be done by summer and were gonna tow it to fordyce at least once and break in the new cab 

As for my 4runner tranny got rebuilt guy said the bearings on the shift rail were disintegrated so that's why it was sticky going into gear, the whining was the t case. I toasted the chain driven p.o.s. case and found some good metal shavings on the drain plug. Sucks cause my rigs been down for about a month now but when it's back I will probably have some 4.7s. Gotta get my buddy brad to drop his t case to sell to me then order the adapter plate and gears then it's time to build a t case 

Let's see what all we can get done this weekend haha

Got a good amount done yesterday, the old cab is ready to be lifted off and we stripped the new one of the harness, dash, and a bunch of other random interior pieces. The nests we were finding in the vents were sick with it haha. Im about to go over to his house to start join again and tonight travis is gonna start a new thread tonight for all this we have a million pics of his truck from 2wd through the build all the way to the day it rolled so it should be a good thread lol


between this cab swap, my 4runner always waiting for stuff to be done, my bestfriend jarrods 82 build were gonna start up in my garage in about a month, and our other good friend austin wants to sas his 86 xtra cab soon. so between all that i should keep myself pretty occupied this summer haha its gonna be a fun one i can tell

and yea seems like all the work is gonna be done to other guys rigs, you need to fix yours and ditch the chain drive tcases.

between all that work u need to get some wheeling in, im itching to get back to prairie city and smash on the big pipe course, be chill to wheel with u and ur buddys sometime.

Haha ya moneyyy dude id have my truck rollin if it wasn't for funds and have a gear driven t case under it, once schools out for summer and i start working full time again ill have some more funds to dump into the runner until then its a slow process and i love wrenching on crawlers so it all works out working on buddies rigs and they help me lol

Okay so i just ordred my 4.7s and v6 adapter plate  now if i can just find some time to install them once i get em hahah

So i got my v6 adapter in the mail yesterday and the gears should be here today. i was kinda butthurt how basic the adapter was, i know a few people who could have made one at their shops and guaranteed could have made it cleaner lol oh well

about to go down to the shop and bang out these gears ill post some pics later i got a crossmember last night too from my buddy eric, i was gonna buy the t case ring from front range but i remembered hes had this thing in his garage for a few years now so i got it for $50 lol im happy already have the ruff stuff mounting kit for it should be a breeze

built the tcase yesterday, was pretty easy only took a couple hours to finish, put the adapter on the onto the tranny, we got it all in the truck now i just need to mount the cross member and it should be ready to roll. And my rear driveline looks like its gonna fit back into place so thats gonna make me happy haha pics
