What is the third threaded rod w/ nut.  Two for u-bolts and the center one is....?

I don't see the same on the passenger side.

The diff side only has one ubolt and comes stock with 2 smaller studs in the diff. These are upgraded 3/4" studs with the 3rd drilled and tapped in the center. A lot of guys use bolts which is wrong and will pull out. Studs are much stronger. There are ways to get a u bolt around the diff chunk but ir requires drilling into or notching the cast webbing around the diff which I wouldn't do. I think that is what you were asking?

I need input.

I am going to remove a leaf out of the front so it flexs a little better and lowers it a tad to match the rear.

On the rear now should I remove the overload and run the 4 leafs or run 3 leafs and keep the overload? I will eventually have a traction bar. Oy last rig I only had 3leafs and an overload and it seemed to do OK.

Other than camping :pokinit: I don't have much weight back there.

I want it level and a little lower before I set bump stops.

kdub0013

Well got home late had to fix the jd2 which works like a dream now. Bending tube has never been easier. Anyway I had borrowed a bit to drill out my pitman arm so needed to do that real quick. My ram lines were back wards so I swapped them someone tell me if the passenger side line with the 2 fittings is ghetto? I think it is but it's what I have laying around.

CaliZuki

Rig is looking awesome. I still have not done a thing with your toy axles. I just have a pile of parts in the shop. That hydro fitting will swivel if you need to move it.

kdub0013

Thanks dude it's been a pretty fast swap. Look forward to seeing some pics of that nee rig you are putting together.

Well she's alive. Just need to bleed the brakes and double check and make sure everything is tight.

Sure is. Throw some removable mud flaps on and I'm golden. The only thing that wld be better is more streetable tires maybe in the 40" persuasion.

Wow I can't believe that, CA more lax than HI.

In Hawaii those tires sticking out that far would be illegal.  Even with mudflaps.  Of course depnding on who you are, you can get away with anything here.

I'd vote for Ted Nugent...

It was on the rig already but any tractor place has this splined stuff or hust brothers in marysville by me or davez off-road performance

kdub0013

Well she back on the road and barely fits in the garage. Next pics will be some actual wheeling pics. Brakes are still a little squishy but they stop so flop it for now.

Watch out dad I got this

OK been a while. Started a new job and was doing an exo for a guy on his truck. Now the runner is back in the garage and out from being under a tarp.

I am going to paint so scraped all the stickers off. The wife wants bright red, Maybe with a black exo?

Also going to wire up my rear facing led and my 4 LED rock lights, man i love ebay. I also got the fuse block I will run into the cab maybe straight onto the dash so I can see, but that might look hack I don't know. I am finally going to get my tail lights changed out with metal inserts and led trailer lights since the rocks just smash them out anyway.

Need some input on the cage. Redo the exo with 1.75" dom or just modify the 1.5" exo thats on there?

My other thought is doing a nice partial in cab and running the a pillar out through the cab above the windshield and then down into the fender?

Last is the bumpstops and rebuild kingpins with the spring eliminator setup from crane.

Anyway...

Nice tow rig!

I saw someone here with a shirt that said Hippie Killer.  I'm guessing it wasn't you, but it had me thinking.

Wow.. so i haven't seen this yet either.  I was still under the impression you had that 2wd pickup you converted.
So this is basically where i am at now myself.  I am stuffing tons under my 4runner. (thinking on running 42" iroks)

Can you get me a measurement of how tall your rig sits ground to frame under the front doors on those 42's and at what pressure.
Im trying to figure out where my rig is going, i want it to sit no taller than 27" frame height.  (i was at 26.75" on toyota axles and 36" iroks at 10psi and trying to keep it around the same/or lower so it will fit in the garage)

Also what size backspacing do you have on your wheels.  (i don't want mine to stick out that far lol)
How do you like that steering setup as well?  When i did my 3.4L swap i ran the 3.0L pan, so if it clears for you it "SHOULD" clear for me also (unless you modified your pan).  also what is your opinion on those solid diff covers?  they don't look bad seeing them on your rig.  i might just buy them for $65 a piece.

Steering is nice and my 3.0 pan is modified.

Diff covers are awesome hands down.

Well been busy with the other buggy but I have been collecting parts for my rig. I have all my link stuff and just need two more coil overs. Stopped by wfo today and got my atlas. Also scored a nice set of 42 iroks. Next on the list is Yukon axles and drive flanges and a spartan locker. Rear is getting a grizzly locker all from wfo. Gonna be pretty badass. Motor is on the back burner for now and the plan is run the atlas mated to my 23 spline crawl box. Should be good.

Anyone have an idea on this shift rail bushing? No way to attach to adpater and the instructions state advance adapters was suppose to set it. Can't call until Monday now. Anyway picked up a donor fwd shift case today and got the bearing and other misc pieces I needed for the new adapter. Got as far as I could with my turd snap ring pliers.
