I have an 89 4runner without inclinometer and was curious if I buy a inclinometer can I use it with my 4unner? I have no idea how they mount or what wiring is required. Figured this was the correct place to post since I'm a newbie. I appreciate any help or info you can send my way. Also, what's a reasonable price to expect to pay for an inclinometer? Thank you

Toyota generally used the same wiring harness across all models of the same generation, so there should be plug under the dash, to plug the inclinometer into(lights up w/dash lights).

As far as costs, some think since it is a relatively rare item is worth more than its weight in gold and ask upwards of $300.

You can  use it in a Runner you can use it in a truck, I hate green eggs and ham. :gap:

Harness is there, I put a inclinometer in my 84 pick up and not only was the plug there for the light but the undrilled holes were already there on the dash pad.

i didn't bother wiring it up since i didn't want to take apart the dash again just to light it up so i just stuck it on cause im lazy.

I always enjoyed knowing my altitude but the angle of the dangle would just scare my passengers. Now I just use my Garmin GPS to tell me how high up I am. I do want one of the covers though, I figure it will make an excellent gauge package.

It is something to look at when you are upside down after you roll. Other than that they are kind of worthless  :gap:

Ive never paid for or sold one of those for more than $50... Those prices listed seem outragous for one.
