I have a buddy that is going to convert my ac to OBA this next week. I will try and get some pic's up after he's done.

I took the buggy out today with my family and a couple of buddies. Myself and my family had a blast with some new great friends and new buggy. I didn't break anything but realized I am a long way from being done. I need to get my propane kit, high steer, and wheel spacers. I need to do some more welding and cut all my panels. I drove it all day in 4 low only shifting the crawl box because who ever built the t-case never cut off the shift linkage. I am going to need new seals in the front end, so spool will be done at same time.

I got around to putting the front together, but I am unsure about the stinger. What do you think I should do kick it or keep it?

kick it!  5 foot tall stingers were cool in 2000!  replace it with a smaller version that extends only an inch or so above the hood.  heres a pic of how tall mine is

Idk why but backwood bearbone builds like this is what wheeling is all about...this rig is badass. Simple..yet sweet looking.

Great thinking on saving the headache of the cage and just modifying that one to your liking..plus a hell of a lot of money!
Wish I could find a 3rd gen truggy cage/body I'd be on it in a heart beat and be more motivated to actually SAS my latest project...which has been on the backburner for 3 months.

I think that I will eventually change the whole front but for now it will stay like this. I need to finish up with all the frame supports and skins. I have been debating on my skins and I think that the rest on my buggy is going to be skinned with lexan. Has anyone ever ran lexan? pro's/ con's

I was able to get some work done on the buggy. I ripped apart my ifs steering box and tapped it for hydro assist. I am going to try and finish it tonight with more progress pictures.

Yesterday I was able to work on the buggy. I ripped the old front housing off and put my new housing that has armor, and brackets for hydro assist. While I had it apart I welded the front diff, and changed out my inner seals to the marlin eco seals. I have thought about doing the trunion bearing to king pin kit but I am going to wait until one breaks.

Here are some pic's of new new housing and ubolt flip kits all bolted up. I have to bolt up knuckles, brake lines, driveline, and highsteer. I still have not installed my ifs steering box yet so that I think is going to be the biggest challenge.

I just need to weld my ifs steering bracket on, and install my hydro assist box. I need to bleed my brakes and put gear oil in my diff and on my way I go.
