thats what ive always thought too. Mudfanatic92 has a set of 15x10s, so we may trade if i go wide.

Yup i did my research and discovered an 83 engine can be Fuel injected and the efi manifold bolts up. thus is possible due to the 22RE actually being introduced to the toyota market in 1983 in the Celicas.

83' better motor than 85' and up re's! double chain and longer compression stroke more torque!!!

Crap I hope this doesnt mean.headgasket? It looks like permatex ultra grey.. I know what water/antifreeze mixed with oil looks like. Dont remember it lookin like this.

mine didnt look like it went through but poured diesel in it while off and presto it was through!!! diesel finds all cracks

Ill be looking for a new cover as the water neck has a chunk out of it and im worried it will leak.

better safe than sorry anyways. nobdy likes reworks. (by my knowledge toyota changed from double to single row in 8/83. so i guess it depends on early or late model engine ) have fun
