Well, figured i would give you some background/history of the truck while i get the pics and everything in order. because im about halfway through the build already. My grandpa Brent bought the truck brand new off the showroom floor in 1985.  :drooling: . and he worked the piss out of. was firewood truck and property truck drove it all over. well anywho to cut to the chase. for my 16th birthday i got it. with no motor.. no tranny. no shackles in rear. and a bunch of other random stuff missing.  but i was happiest kid on earth  :shocking:  then i bought a 1986 rte parts truck for $300 with a blown head gasket. took the motor, tranny, bench seat, some cool turbo emblems, and a bunch of other stuff of it and sold it for $350  :smokin: . okay now i beleive im caught up to about where i have pictures.  il get to postin

like cut an inch or so out of them? or cut at bend so they lay flat?

Peterbuilt84

Are those tall shock hoops? I cut a 3"x3" hole (maybe bigger, it's been awhile lol) in the top of my inner fender for the upper shock mount. You can kind of see it in this pic

yotacrawler1

they dont seem tall there TG hoops. 13" from bottum mounts to where shock mounts about 15" to top of hoop

toyotathomas

I said screw it and cut a big section out of the inner fender on mine.  You could also grind the tube where you weld them on at an angle so the hoop sits out and away from the inner fender.

yotacrawler1

yeah i think i might do that. butttt i do have a new die grinder ive been itching to try out haha. might have to put it to work

nisota

Look for the picture below in the link about 1/2 way down you cut out the fender just like this.
I cant upload the fullsize pic thats why i am sending you the link but they gotta pop through exactly like this & make sure to plate your frame before you weld the hoops to it.
