Well I got the truck about a month ago Im in the process of tearing down the engine because the previous owner doesn't know what anti sieze is ant a sparkplug broke off but I recently puchased my front axle with axle and birfs for 50 I jusr need to get all my other stuff together. But I did manage to fit 33s on it I have a locker in the rear it's gonna take some time but it's gonna happen preferably sooner than later

Nice clean 3rd gen.

Not a bad price on the front axle. What other build plans do you have?

I plan on doing ruf and f150s in the rear maybe a 4 or 3 link somewhere in the future just gotta get the broke spark plug fixed first with it being my dd I wanna run 35s so I can flex we got an orv park near here called gulches I've been once with my brother in law in his Jeep it's what turned me on to crawling I'll post pics of how everything goes as I rip apart the motor I put it all back together cause I'm going to the mountains but I did do a lil rattle can job before I put it back

What flavor engine, V6 or 4-banger? Are you planning on getting the head checked for cracks as a precautionary measure? I don't know how familiar you are with engines, but remember to get the 12mm bolt under the distributor if it's a 22R/RE; it could cost you a timing cover.

Ask me how I know...  :slap:  :smack:  :slap:  :smack:

It's a 22re yea I got the bolt I had to look it up it wasn't in a Haynes manual but I can't get the intake off the head everything is unbolted I think it might be glued and I can't get the head off because of the wires between the intake and the head any suggestions? I don't know why the pics wouldn't work

For the wires, just try to remove as much as you can; it makes installation way easier. There is a "hidden" bolt on the EFI intakes; it's in the middle and under the intake runners. IIRC it's a 12mm and you'll need a few extensions to get to it. Again, I could be wrong but that's what I remember. If that's out, try a few whacks with a rubber mallet or a dead-blow hammer against the intake to break it free from the glue/gasket material. Be sure all bolts are removed before hammering; aluminum is easy to break when hammered.

Again, ask how I know.  :hammerhead:

yeah I remember that bolt... hidden bolts suck.

We need some more pic updates when you get to them.  First pic looks good though.  looks like a nice clean truck!
