Send her back down! Quit being so selfish! :slap:

Do you think he would get anything done with a sitter around!  Especially, if she's cute!  :boobs:

I wanted to raise my kids on dog runs and bungee cords.  And my wife thought I was nuts until our third child came along and she asked me where is that dog run?  With bungee cords, my theory was, "Don't worry, they'll be back in a minute!"

Her boss hardly ever lets her work! She'll be there for a while this summer though, as soon as she sells her pig.

Made a little bit of progress so far, not much more to go. Cases are overly sealed.

ooh that's nice...

can i have it?

MiniSimp

Got a little more done tonight.

Any idea why my intake is black?

Yota4life

There are 2 vent tubes coming from the valve cover, Because we all know we cant have oil fumes going out into our air, stupid emissions. So toyota runs it back into the intake and it basically allows oil to pour into your throttle body and gum up the butterfly and the rest of the intake plenum.  I took mine off and scrubbed the crap out of it with degreaser. It was caked on thick inside mine. Makes the motor run a hell of a lot better when you get 15 years of oil build up out of it and get the butterfly really clean too. I took the front vent tube off and plugged it and put a k&n style vent filter on top of the valve cover to prevent the throttle body from getting gummed up again.

Duffil

i'll try to get one tomorrow.  I don't have a K&N catalog here at home.

MiniSimp

Um no. I'm waiting to get that bearing on Sunday. Got my TPS adjusted though, and throtthe body mounted.

The 3 hoses that mount to the top of the throttle body...are they in the right positions?
Also, isn't there supposed to be a hose at the bottom of that round thing?
And is there a gasket for the exhaust?

Duffil

No, the first thing only has hose on one side, it just slow down the throttle closing all the way.
Your exhaust uses 2 round donuts on the flange.

Yota4life

Hey so how did you adjust your TPS? I tryed the way on 4crawl and i couldnt get the same readings he was getting on the volt meter....so i just put it where it ran decent but i know its not right because i get a idle loap at like 2800 rpm. And that round filter deal is called a Dashpot....i just took mine off because it was making my idle stick. Still runs fine but something is giving me a weak idle.

I had my buddy do it, gave him a copy of the 4crawler method, and the FSM and he figured it out. Anyway, he said he got it to spec on the 2nd TPS sensor he tried.

Did the one I sold you work? If it did not I will give you your money back.
