Simple, you just need the FSM for setting the gears, Metric Socket set, Dremmel with 1/4" (or around there) grinding bit, dial indicator, spanner wrench, MP grease, thickness gauge, gasket scraper, torque wrench, and it helps to have a way to hold the 3rd so you can crank on the adjusting nuts.

can you drop in an aussie without pulling the carrier?  I know it can be done with a lockrite.

MiniSimp

I wouldn't, you have to grind on the carrier (about 1/16" deep by 1/2" long) some carriers you don't, but I've had to for both of mine. It's not hard resetting the gears to spec. If you want me to do it let me know.

Aussie Locker, LockRight, Detroit EZ (and the other Detroit EZ sold under the Genuine Gear name)...all lunchbox lockers are essentially identical.  The Aussie seems to be the most reliable.

I can set gears up.  Just wondering.  Are you getting me confused with the other guy that asked about the aussie?  What do you have to grind out? any pics?

I was responding to the following from your post, "can you drop in an aussie without pulling the carrier?  I know it can be done with a lockrite."

Seemed like a reasonable answer to a questions to me.
