Quotebtw   update  on the  topic of the day

the term used latest  besides  sprained back and butt

"L2-L3 right foraminal disc protrusion, without foraminal narrowing"  i think i remember him telling me this actually meant i had a disc  pushing into the spinal column

"left foraminal disc protrusion with minimal anterior inferior effacement of foraminal fat"      where Germ

"sacroiliatis"    that means my pelvis  is  hurt  between  where it attaches to my backbone

Hmmmm. Means you have a bulging disk, which is not causing a narrowing of the canal that the nerve passes through. The left foraminal disc protrusion is pushing against the layer of fat that surrounds the central canal to protect the spinal cord. It doesn't say anything about central stenosis, which is good. The neural foraminal protrusion without narrowing is also good. Typically, these will heal by themselves over a period of time, which can be up to a year or so. Sometimes an epidural injection will speed this process, but not always. I would not allow anyone to suggest surgery based on these MRI results. An epidural, physical therapy, Chiropractic are all good options.

Hope that helps. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I've been off line for a while.

Wow.
