or the ring gear has a big chunk out of it
I've seen that one before.
I had the same problem just recently.I had sheared 7 gears in a row of the ring gear. It also had large chips in other places on the gear.I guess anything can happen when your crawling.this is where i think your problem is.
I make more money that you, my wife is hotter than yours, my thingy is bigger than yours
ifs front ring? if so i did the same thing last summer
My truck is solid axel swapped. I don't think it's the ring gear no chunks of metal when I drained the diff
I told you my bro.i Guess sometimes you just got to learn for yourself.look at those teeth you got out of there man.!
time for an aussie. go with a solid spacer when you rebuild the thirds. you won't have to worry about the crush sleeve getting messed up if you hit the drive line on a rock.
well when i drained the oil no teeth came out , then we pulled the diff and sitting in the bottom (where some extra oil sits in the housing) were those big chunks, oh well, tonight i am setting up my 5.29s and my lockright so tomorrow it should be back on the road, regeared and ready to rock
did you re use that limited slip or did you put a locker in ther id be interested in the lsd if you arent using it
Looks like a stock v6 third member to me. They are so often mistaken as LSD just cause they look B.A.
This is how i found all my teeth when i messed up my diff. same thing you got no huge chunks coming out the bottom but when you tear into it then you find the problem. Well I'm glad you figured it out and hope everything else works out for ya.
