After Moab I wanted something different so I sold my cage, narrowed my front, bought 60's and 42's and this is where it stands now I CANT WAIT TO TEST IT OUT :shocking:

Specs of the 60's
Dodge dana 60 front narrowed to 64" (toyota spring perch width) Sky mfg. hysteer, 6 lug hubs, 5.38 gears, lockright, toyota flange, 1/2 ton chevy rotors and calipers with toyota conversion brake lines 35 spline outers with flanges

Jeep 60-2 rear axle 60" wide with 1.5 spacers. 6 lug semi-float 35 spline with Dutchman chromoly shafts. Shaved+ thick diff cover 5.38 gears with lockright. chevy 1/2 ton brakes and calipers

Tell me what you think   :talkingn:

well here's some pics with the new cage and alil update.........

and for the update 86 22ret 5spd :gap:

I picked it up for $1,800 with a rebuilt engine it has a stock turbo but that will quickly change I just bought a CT26 turbo. Now I'm looking for an adapter for it but I dont want to drill the holes out to make it fit, with my luck I'll mess it up.

The plan was swapping motors and transmissions with the 86 and 94 crawler but I don't want to deal with the wiring, I deal with enough wiring at work and my girl friend wants to bring the dog with us wheeling but there's no room in my std cab so I found a 85 ext cab chassis and I'll swap cabs then engines. I know it's ALOT of work and with my working hours mon-sat 1pm to about 2am I wont be working on it all the time but my buddy did this swap to his std cab frame and I really liked it

Change of plan I found a killer deal on a 3rz complete motor swap from a 97 Tacoma.

Here's some pics :gap:

swapping the bell housing.

my motor mounts

and I also bought this bracket so I can still use my trail-gear pump.

lookin good dude, the 3rz will be sick!

Thanks I'm super stoked about this 3rz! it only has 120xxx miles on it with a new head gasket, and it has something like performance balance rods?  :dunno:

All I need to do is finish up the wiring, buy a pulley that will fit on my trail-gear pump and figure out if I'm going to run the radiator in the back of the bed or re-mount my winch to fit a 3 core radiator without putting my fan thru it

engine sounds good, if it has "balance rods" its possible that the whole bottom end has been rebuilt and balanced.  Which means the pistons, rods, and crank are all perfectly balanced together so that the engine can turn higher RPMs wthout coming apart!

could you fit in a slim electric fan somewhere to help make room for the 3 core radiator?

I hope I can get my 16in electric fan to fit but if not I'll have to run the radiator in the bed.

Well here's an update. I finally got her running and dialed in and right before loading it on my trailer to go to crushers the engine just went *CLUNK* and wouldn't start after that. I finally got it running after letting it sit for a day but it has a bad rod knock

I'm rebuilding the engine as we speak but been doing it slowly cause I just bought my girl an engagement ring and been saving up for a house but the engine was a mess, the bearings were toast even the balanced shaft bearings were bad and one was missing lol the cams were mounted on the wrong side and the head is bad too. So I'm starting this rebuild with all new parts the only thing I can reuse is the block.

I will be putting my 3rz together hopefully next week and have this Toyota running at the end of Nov

Here's some pics of the Toyota, Turbo Toyota and my new Dodge!

The Turbo rig.

and finally the Dodge. I had a built 95 std cab 5spd cummins lifted on 35's and my buddy was hurting on cash and really liked my rig so he offered a trade that I couldn't pass up. I gave him $600 and I got to keep my lift and tires for his 2000 Dodge ext cab 6spd. Here's some pics of it with the flat bed and with the new bed now just waiting to be painted soon. :smokin:

How was it? I was in Biggs, Oregon hunting for pheasant and quail lol

It sucks not having a running rig, I've been thinking about swappng the turbo engine in the crawler till I get the 3rz running BUT that would be ALOT of work :shake:

And here's a pic that I believe what blown up this engine :wall:

The PO used a longer bolt on the oil pan and it broke thru the front cover and into the oil pump causing the shavings to destroy my bearings.
