Are they loud? I know everyones says that their own mufflers sound good. But hoping these guys are more tone then loud. I want quiet. I've done the ear piercing loudness before. I done with that stuff.

They have great tone id say they lean more twoards the loud side but im sure the street serries (6000 etc) will be more quiet. I cant remember what serries my friends had as they had them quite a while ago. I hear you on the loudness i run a 10" glasspack on my toyota and its a little loud for me and i used to have it running on "the loud side" even. Might just call up spintech and talk with them they could probably set somthing up for you (dimensions, baffling etc) to get exactly what you want

THis is why I choose a 7" stretch. The fender meets right up to the hi lift cut out. I didnt want the two overlapping.

Next Im going to redo my 3link frame side brackets to make them my laser cut version. Then I can tie them together just like I had one of my customers do.

This will stiffen the frame, become a platform to hold the T-Case and let me build a belly pan all in one design.

Ok, small updates, the limit strap tabs and location worked out better than expected. I used the limit strap tabs from the front on the frame side and the shock mount tabs from the front on the axle side. And now that piece of the puzzle is done.

Also got all 100% of the sheet metal fab completed. And the axle has been stripped of dirt and rust and then was painted clear coat.

I also, put a cross brace in between the frame side shock mounts.

I also extended a portion of the frame where the 4link frame brackets mount to. This was for addition support and for getting a full weld all the way around.

wow brian nice work. i wanna see more. i really wanna see pictures of everything in action. im assuming your using solid works for design? if so are you doing it on your own or having someone draw your ideas.

No solid works homy. I used the link calc for the numbers part and then built wooden templates. Just took my time and refused to let the details slide. True home grown. $Beer Chug\'n$ The parts are laser cut however.

What was the reasoning behind putting the hi-lift mounted on the outside as appose to the inside?

Just something different?

Honestly I thought it looked god awful at first glance.. but I think i'm starting to like it. Give's it kind of an industrial iron feel....

I had a trip that I had to get it out of the back of the Runner about 5 times. It was bolted to the stock roll cage but after having to unpack most of the truck each time to get to it I thought it stupid to have it on the inside. Its large, heavy and a pain in the but to remove from inside. That side wall was dead space so I figured what better place to put it. I wish I had taken my time with it and done a nicer job of making it. I think start to finish took 8 hours. I should haved slowed down and drank less when I built it. But think the concept is sound.
