yup thats the stuff (its unistrut)  go to home depo or lows or some place like that most of them sell it i know that home depo does i think that for those gold peaces (the clamps) cant exacltly remember what those are called but i think im using 2in and it work well you need to tighten the living daylights out of them to get them to stay put. i got mine from my work because we had a bunch left over from a couple of jobs that never got used. :beerchug:

i gots a question, i was moking up my front springs and it looks like im gunna have some serios steering issues, i was just wondering if any body out there is running a toy rear spring combo thats got alot of arch to it and marlins steering arms it looks like when i shim the axle to get the caster right that the tierod will be hitting the springs at less than full droop, my springs are toy rear mainleafs with the bottom 6 leafs from front waganeers is there any one else running this setup? cuz it dont look like its gunna work :headscratch:  :_oops:

Hyena

My rear springs had a lotof arch when i built them too.  But when i put them on the truck they went flat.  I have since added a leaf and they ahave an arch right now.  When they are dropped fully they don't hit the steering arms at all, and i have marlin high steer too.  the best thing to do is to put them on with the weight of the truck on it.  Drive it for awhile to let the spring soften up and then see what happens.

yotaboy79

thanks for the info, it just dont look right to me but well see when i get every thing mounted up
:beerchug:

yotaboy79

i got the front off of jack stands the only thing left is to mount the steering box and get a drag link and all the power steering stuff. just to get it running im gunna run blocks in the rear  :reg: untell i figure out what i wanna do im starting to consider a 4 link  :_oops: ill get some pics up tomarrow

yotaboy79

ok ive got a question a power steering box and bracket off of a 22re wont work on a 20r or am i just stupid cus the block is missing bolt holes the holes that are there dont line up and the pump sits to far forward. i wasnt thinking and i just grabbed it when i was at u pull it i figure i can at least use the pump and make my own brackets? i dunno ill take some pics of the truck later tonight and try to post them tonight oh and it didnt dawn on me that i needed a reservor wich this pump didnt have one on it.

yotaboy79

oh yeah i forgot to measure the pinion angle on the front befor i started cutting stuff off can some one tell me what it should be so i  can get every thing right  cus it looks way off
thanks kyle

yotaboy79

yotaboy79

and heres what big birtha did also got my nuckle prity good the 3rd pease of the drill bit is stuck in my frame its staying

Gtown

I had stock 87 rear springs in the front.  three leafs sat flat.  Flexed great.  Just mount the ifs box as far forward as you can.
jeeps are like poopie richard, every fa@*ot has one

yotaboy79

its alive!!! and it dont like 35-40 miles per hour death wobble  but im still driving it ill get some pics up tomarow

Hyena

tires ballanced?  Cool that your are driving it now.

yotaboy79

i think its a combo of unballanced tires half assed shackles and bad caster angle but its not bad the steering wheel just jumps around but it will still go in a straight light if you let go of it its wierd :dunno:  oh yeah i also need to make  my square tube front drive shaft

yotaboy79

ok im not driving it any more the death wobble has gotten real bad i think another cause is lack of a steering stableizer. but i did get some pics for ya guys the front flexes awsome in the pics i still have about 6 in of travel in the front and probably 3 in the rear

yotaboy79

and i spilled oil all over the place

yotaboy79

ok square tube front drive shaft is done
now im thinking about a color to paint my truck heres a sample, what do you guys think the only thing im worried about is a cop magnet
