Topic: 22r starting and idle problem. sat for a year

alright gang here is the deal. i just picked up a new to me toy. it has a 22r in it that ran when it was parked(so they say).the toy sat for about a year or so. if i pour some gas down the carb it starts right up and as long as i keep the idle over 1500 - 2000 rpm it will stay running. if the rpm drops it stalls and will not start again on its own..i drained out all the old gas and filled with new. replaced plugs , wires , cap , rotor , hooked up all vacuum lines except for 1 on the carb its on the left side front and its about a 1/4 inch diam. i took the 4 screwes out of the carb exposing the needle and seat , float , jets etc. cleaned everything and made sure all ports and jets were clear. and still nothing. i am stuck please help....oh and its a 85 if it matters..

fuel cut solenoid is bad either replace it, or remove it cut the plunger off and reinstall

is it reffered to by any other name? no auto parts stores around me have it or know what i am talking about. the closest thing advance auto had was a fuel pump cutoff switch and it was 80 bucks...also where is it located? sorry for the newbie question but i gotta learn. and i found nothing about name or location searching..

i tried testing the fuel cut solenoid and heard nothing can i remove the fuel cut solenoid and thread a bolt in the hole where it was and leave the fuel cut solenoid pluged in and try starting it?
