REAR PINION ANGLE QUESTION!?
« on: Jun 11, 2010, 11:47:17 AM »
Doing a coil to leaf conversion on my 95. Read different stuff about where to put my rear pinion angle. High angle says if I dont have a double cardan(I dont) then to put the flanges parallel, but I also read to point the pinion flange at the T case then weld the perches?? Any help would be appreciated

I rotated my brothers 4runner at the same angle and he has 5" springs.  His has been on the road with the same set up for about 10 years with no driveline issues.

The double cardinal lets you run the pinion at any angle you want because it uses two u joints to counter any vibration, if you dont use it you need to run the two u joints with the flanges parallel if you dont want vibration.
