Topic: Pinion Angle

Have a 85 Runner with a 83 5 speed trany & dual transfers (about 4-5 inches shorter than stock) It has a 4 1/4 lift with 2 1/2 extended shackles.
How much of a spring perch wedge ( 8º ?) can we add without having to re-weld the perches? Are the aluminum one any good?
Right now the drive line misses by about 2 1/2 inches with car resting flat on ground.

I don't know about the maximum amount of angle, but don't run aluminum wedges.  You can buy steel ones from Roger Brown at 4crawler.com.

ditch the CV on the driveshaft  and run the late model flanges and your driveshaft will drop to the ground when unbolted on one side.  shims arent going to help you any because as soon as you flex  everything is going to bind.
