'92 SAS Front Pinion Angle?
« on: Jul 13, 2009, 06:58:19 PM »
I have just put in my 4" SAS. The front pinion angle appears not to be steep enough. Its almost parallel with the ground. Does this need to be changed or is it ok where it is?

The shackle length is 5 1/2". And the lift is a 4" from MC. I bought the lift almost a year ago and just now got it on the truck.

you can get shims to rotate it up. you dont want to do to much of angle or the caster will be to high and you'll get death wobble. i think i had a 4 or 6 degree shim on my DD with no problems. its best to get the steel shims and partially weld them on

With duals you will be fine. Are you running a CV on your front drive line?
