It was a cake walk. I tend to work my self up over things like this. This morning I woke up after a great 10 hour sleep. Thought ehh... can't be to bad happens to people all the time. I just got numbed up waited 20 min for the novicane to set in. They came it cut the gum back which i did not feel. I felt a slight pressure then they pulled lil more pressure and he said tooths out time for stiches.

Are you going to get put out for them? I'd recomend it if you have dental insurance and they will pay for it. But if not and you can stand a lil pain for a cost savings of 250-400 for the gas its worth it.

Don't fret it man. Just dont think about it you will be fine. I was good when I went.... Got a lil nervous but got over it.

im only 17 so im still on my dads insurance policy but im not going to be put out because its almost twice as expensive since the oral surgeon would have to do it instead of my dentist

true. If his insurance will pay for it I'd go that route going with a oral surgeon is a better idea thats all their trained to do is extract teeth and they do a fine job at it. I honestly felt like he knew what he was doing as in not to cause me any pain at all.

it covers 85% but the copay is still alot its 150 a tooth  i think

I had my wisdom teeth pulled for a christmas present one year... it went like this.

Wake up at 8am, went to Dr.  Game me sleeping gas, Dr. looked at me funny when they turned up the gas twice and i was still in my normal state.  So the shoved an IV in my hand, ouch. 

Next thing i remember was talking about paintball and they must have put the drugs in the IV cuz i was out!  Woke up half way through my procedure because numb nuts didn't give me enough anesthesia.  I couldn't open my eyes, move, talk, all i could do was make noises until they gave me more knock out juice, didn't hurt, just felt tugging on my jaw.  Then i woke up, gauze in my mouth, couldn't walk (still getting over the knock out juice), had a sober driver home, slept for 18 hours, woke up, drank a little and took some no pain pills (vikadin), slept for 12 hours, and it was wake up, sleep, wake up, sleep for about 2 days. 

Then i was better in about a week i think.

Cake walk.  Glad to hear the tooth is out and your recovering well.  Just watch how many pain pills you take, i started to get addicted because they gave me too much, be careful... lol

Knock out juice is awesome!!  I remember getting the IV, and then the doc talking to me.  He asked what I did for a living, and as I was telling him that I make cheese, the top of my head started to tingle.  Then the next thing I knew I was waking up on this bed, and the nurse took my BP, and then kicked me out the back door to my sister's car.  On the way home I spit out my gauze cause I couldn't drink water with all that gauze in there.  And within 3 hours I was out mowing the lawn.  And drooling blood.
